This brings back memories. Luckily the Weaver doesn't seem to have any sticklebacks left. Trent and Mersey canal Swan Pit used to be my favourite place on the Canal. waggler to far bank, casters.

Funny as always...think they were a bit unlucky with the spot! There's some brilliant canals..never caught a stickleback yet

I remember I used to have a fishing log book and added in everything I caught. Proud to say I had a 1oz roach, 5oz perch etc. Great times as a kid catching anything. I'm still not on a PB train of thought at 46 lol. Just love catching and hopefully win local club matches or frame. Blanking is the only thing to ruin the day 🙂

Enjoyed that. Great laugh. Just need to get you on a better canal! Would love to see you both on somewhere like the Trent on the stick float. Just to keep the theme going. And how about doing a live match on a natural venue? Thanks guys for another great video. 👍🐳👏

nice to see some proper fishing, rather than just catching. thoroughly enjoyed watching.
@mikefrench35742 жыл бұрын
That's no more proper fishing than any of the videos at a commercial. That many fish, albeit small, in the space of 90 minutes is probably more than you'd catch at a commercial. I'd love to know what you saw in this video that demonstrated any more watercraft or fish knowledge than the previous 10 challenges.

Can't believe that Lewis didn't advise you to fish bread punch..it DOES avoid the sticklebacks! And you got the canal on the wrong day.... there were half a dozen 20lb nets of roach in a match there last year. They even caught some of the big roach on corn! But it still made a great watch as always...the banter between you two (and Rich) is priceless 🤣

Love how Andy was still enjoying himself with little goujons. Seemed like bad luck on the spot. Something exciting about canals you could either pull out a tiddler or some big bream and f1s love it
@neilmerrick85332 жыл бұрын
Nice video with the usual amount of laughs again lads and welcome back to mine and a few others regular fishing trips and you should have tried chopped worm with the caster over the far shelf and a worm head down the track over a few pinkie and caster and would love to see you on a bream challenge on a reservoir

It is great to see the guys fishing the canal, they should come up to Yorkshire and fish the Aire and Calder navigation they will catch good quality roach bream perch as well as carp and dace would be more than happy to show them we’re to fish

I did a canal match once I but 10 balls of ground bait in at the start right on the other side of the canal fished in middle for 30half catch small stuff then got the feeder rod out cast over to the spot I feed and bam the bream was there end up with a net full of bream and won

@oldbloke1352 жыл бұрын
Lol. Jamie caught pretty much what I would have caught. My mate who fishes the canal all the time would have stuck two three pound bream and five pound of roach on the scales. And probably put back a four pound pike. Canal fishing is sorcery.
