Pretty much everything you need to know how to fix p0448 and p0447 on your vehicle as example 2012 Nissan Pathfinder with 4.0L V8 engine but same precision can be used for Nissan Frontier and Nissan Xterra. P0448 P0447 EVAP EMISSION VENT CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED OPEN. NISSAN PATHFINDER, FRONTIER, XTRERRA are very common. No more evap leaks. Basic principals can be used on most of the gasoline vehicles.
In this video you will find charcoal canister, vent valve removal and installation. How to test wiring circuit down to the vent solenoid and test vent valve solenoid as well.
DTC P0448 code means that circuit for the evaporative emission control system's vent has shorted, or that the valve for this system is stuck in the closed position.
The P0447 code is defined as EVAP Emission Control System vent valve solenoid circuit open.
