Always enjoy your insights about the current world and the natural sites that you share with us. I am now a Texan having left the Left Coast of the US decades ago and find that your feelings mirror many of the ones I have found among the native Texans who have welcomed me to this state. So, you should keep wearing that flag. Please come to Texas and the other states as well, and enjoy the variety of natural wonders that can be found here. As for the cities, they are cities, explore at your own risk. Wildlife is so much more pleasant to be around, you just have to be careful with the bigger critters. Some of them suffer from PTSD - Pesky Tourist Stress Disorder. Looking forward to more of your videos. And thanks for letting us visit with you. And for those that you come across who don’t understand the miracle of nature, do as Texans do - just “bless their hearts”.

Videos like this always make me think of my ancestors. With all the changes and drawbacks of technology in our era, it is wonderful to have moments like this documented. Your family Is fortunate to have this as a record. I would be amazed to see how my US colonial ancestors from Sweden lived. Så fint att få spendera tid tillsammans, far och son i vildmarken. Det skapar fina och värdefulla minnen att dela tillsammans för framtiden. I always enjoy your videos and admire the surroundings where you live and/or film them. This video, in particular, was very calming with the beautiful scenery and back-drop and the accompanying music. The video shows some similarity to much of Arkansas, the state in which I, currently, live which is in the Ozarks-region of the US. It is easy to see why you choose to film and spend so much of your spare time outdoors, where you live. I would do the same, if I lived there, and try to do much of that where I live. Easy to de-compress and get-back in touch with yourself and other things, that way. I mimic the requests for you to keep that Texas-flag, since I am a native-son of Texas(was born there and lived there for a long time) and am fortunate to have TEXAS stamped on my birth-certificate. When I had my DNA tested to determine my lineage, I expected to see something akin to....98% Texan, but it didn't show that. Will see you at your next video. Keep them coming.

Native Americans would stick the skulls of the animals hunted in the area on trees so other people could know what was around to hunt. You can tell if the certain animals were around by how decayed the skulls were.

Amazing video and beautiful scenery! I've lived in Texas most of my life & think you'd love it here. It's still rugged & wild in a lot of the state. I've also heard that Native Americans use to leave the heads of their hunted kills in the trees so that the spirit of the animal can return to the forest; and also keeps other animals from destroying it. No doubt a way to honor the hunted.

That's a beautiful little island you camped at. It looks like something out of a story book. I too was wondering about the Texas flag patch on your jacket. As a native-born Texan, I'm glad you decided to continue displaying it. I hope you can make it here some day, but other than a few national parks out in the far western part of the state, there aren't a lot of wild areas left to explore in Texas, but there are still lots of fun things to do and see! Plenty of great barbecue joints too!
