That's why you don't use it at all and insteat drift in the opposite direction and sometimes hope two to three times in a row. If you master that your races will look better than Troys.🤣 (Troy, ofcourse, isn't bad and actually got better at karts the past months) (edit: and sometimes you just need to start drifting 5 years earlier. Helps taking curves and some corneres as well as getting an orange boost)

It's kinda cool how off-road and drift sorta depend on each other--with high drift and/or handling, off-road matters less since it's easier to stay on the main track. Weight matters too since you're less likely to get bumped off-road when you're heavy

There was one BAM! Shock Dodge at 16:39. Shock Dodge wetstreak: 2 ... ... Before I do an analysis of the miniturbo strat for the third time: Isn't Trot Mayro? Well, this is awkward... Now, miniturbo: It seems the max miniturbo stat is 120, providing 2 seconds (120 frames) of boost for a blue, and 6 seconds (360 frames) for an orange. As established previously, the miniturbo boost increases your speed by about +11%, which is half the boost of a mushroom (+22%). Now, I say this because I want to propose a modding challenge to change the fundamentals of how miniturbo works. Instead of increasing the miniturbo time and keeping the speed boost the same, I wanted to change it to where the speed boost depends on the stat, and the boost time stays the same. So, let's start with a miniturbo boost of .500s (30 frames) for a kart blue, .667s (40 frames) for a bike blue, and 1.500s (90 frames) for an orange. Then, an average miniturbo stat (I'll assume 'average' is 40) gives about the same boost as vanilla: +11.0% speed. Each point higher or lower changes the bonus by 0.2%; thus, a miniturbo stat of 20 (about the worst in vanilla) increases speed by +7.0%, while a miniturbo stat that maxes out the bar (80) increases speed by +19.0%. In this mod, the miniturbo stat would allow miniturbos to give a bigger boost than the mushroom at +27.0%. I have no idea how modding for MKWii works, but I'd like to see this happen and see how much it changes the game. Would it make miniturbo stat matter more in the grand scheme of things? I'd like to hear thoughts in the replies.

@@beta511ee4 The jetsetter can be used pretty well on Ghost Valley 2. The track's wide enough in the areas that drifting is needed, and the shortcut can be taken while drifting, so you won't slam into a wall or go off the edge (as long as you're not going too fast). There's also not as many long straightaways as there is on Luigi Circuit, so if you're ahead, bikes can't catch up as easily since they'll need to turn a lot.

You should work with atlas to make a mod that’s basically a Mario Kart Wii balance patch, 13 years later. So, you basically adjust aspects of certain vehicles and vehicle types to make them more or less competitive (karts have more speed, inside drift bikes better drift and orange MT, and slight tuning to inside drift bikes maybe). Balance Kart Wii?!
