Looking back, I did some amazing things in life but honestly, I wished my father/grandfather had been farmers. I grew up with farmers from early childhood and then in high school began working at a steel fab shop that made farm equipment (Dual wheels). Use to hoe weeds in the neighbors fields in HS. If I wasn't so old now, I would definitely volunteer to work with a customer harvester. So envious of that, good times and bad. It was a good thing that you did that little bit of college for you to see the other side and then appreciate your family and that chosen life style. Hard work but very family oriented and satisfying. And you get to spend the day with your dog. 🙂

Nothing g like operating a combine it’s my favourite thing I love harvest. Especially when it’s a brand new combine. We ordered two x9 1100s to replace our 3 -s790s. It will be nice to have one less combine and operator to have cause we are always struggling to get a third combine driver. So looking forward to next harvest.

It’s good that you have found your calling at this young age. Sadly I’m 63 (next month), retired now, but never found that. If you asked me what I want to do or be when I grow up I could not give you an answer. I worked administrative jobs most of my adult life and it was okay, but can’t say that it was my dream job or anything. Being retired is my dream job!!! lol. I got tickled at Dibs sitting in the jump seat just like he was another human being!!! lol. Hope him and Tessa’s dog get along. Not sure where you’re going to put hers as it is pretty crowded in there already, unless it’s a tiny dog. Keep up the good work, even if it does get boring on occasion.

Great video of the wheat harvest. I too think it's great tou miss Tessa already. When that happens you almost know she's the one! That's awesome Dibs will have a friend when she returns. I think it's awesome how he gets in and out of the combine! Man i wish i could be harvesting with you guys whether pulling a grain cart or driving a tractor and trailer. Certainly enjoying your videos back here in Laurel, Delaware and hopefully i can order a hat soon.

You are correct sir whatever makes you happy in life. A lot of people don’t live like that. They try to make other people happy and they miserable their whole life. If I can give any young person advice don’t do your what your parents want you to or your girlfriend do what makes you happy, because you only get one life u don’t get a do over. You have great perspective to be a young man.

I had a feeling Tessa is your girlfriend, y'all make sure a good couple, and sure seem to be a "match made in Heaven". I couldn't help but smile when you said, "I miss that girl already". She certainly seems to enjoy just being with you and your family, which is great. I hope her dog is somewhat of a lap dog.....lol! I once heard it said, "If you truly love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life." That is most definitely a fact, which I can personally vouch for. I grew up on a farm but sadly had to get a "city type" job back in the mid-1980's as my family lost our farm then. I worked 18 years in a job I literally hated and had to live in town which I also hated. I had also married the wrong woman in 1980. I'm a fairly new subscriber and have watched many of your videos which I've enjoyed tremendously.
