We Ran Into A MOOSE On Our Way To A Mine!

In today’s episode we head over to Kelowna, British Columbia to hopefully locate the Blue Hawk Mine on the west side of Okanagan Lake. The Blue Hawk Mine is a gold and silver mine that was discovered in 1930 and was in operation for one year in 1934. From 5 metric tonnes 156 grams of gold and 560 grams of silver was recovered. Even though it was a small mine, we had the opportunity to see some wildlife that we’ve never seen before, which made the 3 hour drive worth it!

Hi Adam & Chyanne, it was cool seeing that Moose, he didn't seem bothered by you being there at all, at least he didn't decide to charge though. Some really nice ice stalactites which is not something you see very often, especially in mine entrances. I'm happy you got another mine documented even if it was at the expense of your feet getting wet, I hope they were not too cold on the hike back. Thank you for sharing, much love to you both. xx ❤

@@AdventuresRUs I've always heard about the deadly gases that can get you in those old mine shafts and I've always wondered how common it is. Scared me from wanting to really wander into much past taking a peek at the entrance. I might have to get one of those units for the future. Then I could explore a little further. Then I'd be scared a bear or something was in there, lol🤣
