I have worked with the elderly for ever. I had an elderly lady tell me she knew she was dying and she told me that it was wonderful that god gave them people like us to be with them. It was a beautiful experience and wouldn’t change a thing.

I’m sure he knew how much you cared…..He’s lucky you were there to say goodbye….If you cared so much, he must have been a special person. Love is love…..it’s so easily shared…..there have been people I’ve loved that just smiled at me or I barely knew. A lady in a restaurant yesterday, different race….that didn’t matter….she was so sweet and she wore my favorite scent….we talked and I told her I love that scent and she smelled so good…..yes, it’s a small thing but for some reason she touched my heart. I wish I had gotten her name and phone number. You’re a good person…..don’t let go of that! Feeling love isn’t a bad thing….he knew you cared…..I have someone close in my life who is very close to me…..I love her beyond measure…..but I don’t really like her even though she’s my daughter….it’s hard….life is hard sometimes…..Everything should be to the GLORY OF GOD!!!! You are handling this so well. I love how brave you are taking care of that man. There is a book called extraordinary deaths of Mrs. Kip. I just listened to it on audible and besides some of the few details I could see what you are talking about. We are meant to love. When you get that, I would just saw as my brother or sister in Christ I love you. This way it does not seem so awkward, because we are brothers and sisters in the Lord. I was in the Navy and when I got out people would always say to me, 'Thank you for your service', and I felt so awkward because I was like I did not do anything. But I learned that ppl saw me just being in the military was a service for them. So now I saw 'Thank you for your support'. Another good one was 'You were worth it.' So definitely letting a brother or sister know they are loved is a great thing. So often we don't feel loved, and your right with this division that the devil has us in politically is annoying. but we have to remember we are children of God and pray to have patience like him LOL. Beautiful message and something that God as laid on my heart as well. Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart. I am also going through something similar in my family - loving the person but not liking how the person is acting and treating me. While listening to you speak God brought the song Somebody to You to my mind. That song has helped me so much when I am reflecting on that person's action toward me.
