Best you hear it for yourself. There are recordings of the 911 calls. (Very sad though). Many saying they couldn't get out because police blocked the road claimimg downed power lines. Power lines were dead. Also many interviews on youtube. I believe the police chief also said it was blocked due to power lines, but then denied this. He wasn't very willing to speak to the locals.

the whole issue concerning the the road blocking and the barricading of people into the fire and the directing of the people back into the fire and into gridlock bottleneck trapping, and why the major access escape route out, Hwy. 30, was closed for 9 hours prior to the noon 2:55 p.m. fire, why no officials made sure there was an axis route out of town, in verification from HECO about all the poles, Lines, obstructing roads and what the company did to quickly clear the roads and what HECO work crews we're doing to clear the roads. and why they were trying to repair and reinstall poles and restore service in a 70mph windstorm, and who were all the people giving the orders to set up roadblocks that caused the chain reaction, deadly gridlock which killed people? the Publix still hasn't got any real good answers or verifiable proof about any of it!

I saw the story on tv tonight. They emhasized this report was not to blame. What an odd choice when there was so much loss, so little info released, and so much concern about the future of the victims. I read that 60% of the victims left the island suspecting they would not be able to rebuild. When water systems did not work, sirens did not sound, police blocked the only ways out, 911 dispatchers lied to callers, police chief and mayor were incognito, emergency supplies were prevented, a wall put up around the area, no fly zone, no photos, no one allowed to visit their property (but it was safe enough for photo ops with a frail president), when laws regarding control of historic sites during disasters were changed months before the disaster, when Gov Green went to a smartcity meeting months previously....My God. I tried real hard to find something about this tragedy that was only incompetence, stupidity or apathy. I couldn't. Blame is the one thing that needs to be truly examined here. I saw videos, photos, interviews and heard testimonies. I'm not ignorant or distant in this matter. Officials control the narratives and protect each other, when they should've been controlling the evil here and protecting their neighbors. There's a reason the subject of blame was one of the 1st subjects mentioned and repeated. It's call being defensive. I wonder why.

For what? What was the goal? Also, bear in mind that a large scale fire of this kind is virtually impossible to control. How far it extends or fails to, what buildings are consumed and which are not, how long it lasts, who dies, etc. So, what aspects of this do you believe were not only planned, but went according to plan? Maui has 14 golf courses each golf course is about 200 acres and each acre takes about 326,000 gallons of water. Maui used over a billion gallons of water last year to water golf courses on that little island. They don't have that kind of water. That's what happened

Good ole police chief Pelletier only documents one body pulled out of the ocean, yet known and trusted locals tell testimonials quite to the contrary, that directly goes against and discounts what Pelletier claims. One man, Maui County employee, tells of his friend pulling bodies out of the ocean water. There is a report that the native Lahaina Hawaiian community we're angry about a snorkeling company taking tourist out to snorkel in waters where there were dead bodies.. Even a FEMA administrator agreed that there needed to be more sensitivity about this due to the bodies. So, when FEMA agrees and says bodies, then that means more than one. I will have to get out my research information, but it is all documented.

Gathering the factual information is the first step in any investigation. For me, as someone who has investigated disasters and failures, this really is the first step. Now how the State of Hawaii conducts the cause investigation is quite important. The fact that BATFE is being asked to conduct the cause investigation is quite significant. I just hope that the State of Hawaii officials will be honorable and accept the findings of the cause investigation and live up to their responsibilities, duties and obligations.
