I've used Liquify (not Happy Camper) and it did keep the tank odor free. However, I had a problem after a couple of years of my sensors not working. I learned that Liquify (and other enzyme-based products) turn your solid waste into a "liquidy paste" that can coat your sensors. Now I use a Calgon/Pine-Sol mix. The Calgon makes the water slippery and the Pine-Sol disinfects and controls odors. By keeping the waste "solid" it won't coat your sensors. However, you have to use a lot of water. I make sure the tank is at least 3/4 full before dumping and rinse them thoroughly before closing my waste valves. If I need to dump and I'm less than 3/4, I add water until the tank reads 3/4 or more.

💕Victoria, Craig, I've mentioned this before. The wife and I love watching the both of you in your videos. We have 3 daughters married in their mid-30's and late twenties. But you guy's seriously need to go with composting toilet. No stinky smells seriously, if people tell you otherwise either they don't no what they are talking about of they did it all wrong. We spent 30 days in Smoky's and 3 days in north Tennessee. The first 18 days started dry camping, no water, sewer, or shore power hookups. Have Solar & gen. At the end of our 18th day we had moved to a full hookup Campground for 3 nights which was the first time we needed water for our fresh tank of 81 gallons. Before we had a flush toilet at which we couldn't go no more than 31/2 to 4 days before having to dump our BLACK TANK. It was so satisfying to sit back and watch all of our neighbors either dumping with a blue boy pull behind or pulling their rv to dump. Did that when I was your age and thought nothing of it well cus well it was the "way to do it." Save and stop WASTING PRECIOUS WATER going into your black tank. Ours was only 34 gallons. Craig, I promise you'll never go back to the domestic way. ......OGO has come out with their Nomad toilet for $199 with urine jug and garbage bag using the layering method or build you one using a 5 gallon bucket. Just to try it. I believe y'all's black tank is 45 or 50 gallons. That will go to washing your to dogs. .......Seriously give it a chance. ......FYI, I had a warranty brand new toilet coming to me the same time I had a $900 dollar OGO toilet being shipped to me. That Domedic new toilet is still in its box. The wife and I just love u both. Oh, just finished the last 6 minutes of video......Craig your a great southern gentleman, keep it up!

I wish I could say I can't believe that the folks at Thor didn't plug the vent pipe in, but nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to some RV manufacturers. As for towing, I honestly think a longer trailer, and especially a 5th wheel, is easier to back up than a short trailer. It takes longer for them to react to the truck turning so it's easier to stay ahead of them. With a short little trailer if you blink you're jackknifed. Lastly, for only being at this for a year, and you have 26K subs, that's stellar work kids, congrats!!!

My go-to gray/black tank treatment is homemade - 1/1/1, Calgon/Pine-Sol/Water. My gray tank usually smells worse than the black but only mild with the above treatment. Hint for short-term travelers: use rest stops, gas stations and restaurants for solid human waste - liquids only in the blank tank - dumping & rinsing easy + 5 gal of fresh water in black tank before moving on.
