I screw a temporary piece of timber to the wall to keep the level when countertops stop.. if doing a full wrap around room I’ll laser level some timber round to make sure my joint never staggers as floors are never 100% flat or level.. it speeds up laying, reduces cuts, saves trying to stretch the joint to make up an error... I’ll also start central on the most important focal point to me/the customer so the tiles frame the window, cooker, sink etc.. Dry laying/marking the walls around features is good practice. It looks like you did most of this pre planning, good stuff…

I am in the ER and holistic nurse. A lot of times lyme is not adequately diagnosed as there are several different types of tests and sometimes it doesn't show up. Better to be on the safe side and take the full course of antibiotics for it just in case. You don't want that to turn into a chronic infection. Those are very difficult to get rid of. If you go to a functional medical doctor or holistic practitioner they're often a lot more advanced in lyme treatment. Be well.

Eamon and Bec, that picture on Eamon's leg definitely looks like the classic bullseye rash that one gets from a tick bite. Most tests for Lyme disease are extremely inaccurate and come back with a negative result EVEN when someone actually does have Lyme disease. There is a one particular test you can order to test for Lyme disease that is actually very accurate and if you read this and want to know the name of test, I'd be happy to post it. The symptoms that Eamon has had since the rash on the back of his leg are many of the same symptoms of tick bite causing Lyme, ie cold sweats and night sweats, fever, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, and so on. Take good care. 🥰
@kelliknight1263 жыл бұрын
Even specialized lyme testing isn't accurate, and with a bullseye, testing isn't needed. I tested negative for lyme 5 times and 2 of those were specialist lyme labs. Lyme testing misses 80 percent of lyme. The specialised ones aren't much better.

A tip for the future. Where you didn't have the countertop you get a straight edge by using a piece of wood to establish the top of the counter and then the tiles will rest on the board.

Welcome back! I love hexagon tile. You guys are probably experts after that big of an install. Two tips 1 when you need to start tiling 1/2 way up a wall you can tack a 1" board as the base line. It keeps the tile from slipping. Remove the board when the tile sets. 2. For circular notches and weird tile shapes you can use the edge of the diamond blade as a grinder... Carefully of course 😉 The kitchen looks amazing! Missy

Hey guys, I have been recovering from chronic Lyme for about nine years. My journey is almost over. I know Eamon's test for Lyme was negative but there are co-infections associated with Lyme and they are not often tested for. Babesia is a tick-borne illness that causes night sweats. If Eamon develops symptoms again, find a doctor who knows and understands Lyme and it's co-infections. It's a difficult illness to live with, especially when it becomes chronic. I'm not trying to scare you but you need to be aware and pay attention to any symptoms that may reoccur. I wish you all the best and good health always. Thanks for sharing your story. Take good care!

1:33 Cracking up when Eamon says “when I was younger, I use to snort spaghetti up my nose and out my mouth”. 🤣😂. Did he really say that to a Doctor or a Nurse? Were they really there? 😂🤣😂

Hahah yes this was a REAL moment with the doctor!!!

So glad Eamon is feeling better and you’re back to posting. Love following you both on your journey!

Bob is RIGHT there are tons of pics online of Italian/Italian style bathrooms with that same tile on the floor. I will be using that same tile just in a different color with dark grout on the floor of my bathroom, mainly because the grout lines attract nastiness.

FYI anyone who needs to keep a line on tiling backsplash, off the counter get a level line and then screw in a temporary 1x2 piece of wood on the wall

"Tell someone you love them!"...I love you guys!!! So glad to see Eamon is feeling better, and you are both cracking away at making your place the perfect home more and more each day. Sending you both the biggest of hugs. Please be extra kind to yourselves...it is okay not to be chipper and on your "A-game" each and every day. Much love to you all!

Through the algorithm gods, I only stumbled on your channel yesterday. This vlog is insanely foreshadowing for what is about to come for Bec in just a few short videos. You both seem like wonderful, genuine, kind people, and I will be following your journey through Bec’s cancer. Stay hopeful & positive as much as you can. You are both beautiful people (with or w/o the hair)

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Eamon!! I LOVE the tile! Seems like everybody does subway tile these days and I think that's boring. This looks awesome even if it is popular in bathrooms! Take care and see ya Sunday!😘

Wishing our break was a little more fun in the sun and less hospitals and sleeping all day BUT I guess this is just what the doctor ordered 🤓 💛

I was so worried about you guys........checking several times a day to see if you had posted anything. I even went back and re-watched the last one. So glad you're back and feeling better. It most likely was a spider. Years ago my mom was bitten on the foot and was really sick.
