In this episode, we’re diving into the bizarre culture of virtue signaling within the Jehovah’s Witness organization. From members tattling on each other over harmless activities to the jaw-dropping double standards for higher-ups like Governing Body members, Circuit Overseers, and local elders-this is the tea you won’t want to miss.
We’re also exposing the gender bias that forces women to have their husbands present in elder meetings while men get to choose. And of course, we couldn’t talk about all this without spilling some tea on ourselves. Hear the hilarious and absurd story of how a group of us went skinny-dipping, only to have a fellow JW turn us in to the elders like a self-righteous narc. It’s juicy, it’s raw, and it’s a perfect example of how the JW culture loves to poke its nose where it doesn’t belong.
Join us as we call out the hypocrisy, share our stories, and give you an unfiltered look at life inside the high-control cult. Earl Grey EVERYWHERE.

@DiffiCULTChildhood Thank you! 🙂 I would be curious on your guy's take on the % of young ppl in your cong's that were living a double life. Let's qualify young ppl as like 15-25. The congregation I grew up in was 90% older ones in a very small town, so I don't really have a good sense of young cliques or how young ppl were as JW's. (If you've already done one on this, just let me know!) I took it hook, line, and sinker and bought in to all of it. I was a goodie goodie and would have been like "Jenny the hot tub informer." 😆 Everything bothered my conscience, and I loved studying, going to meetings, assemblies, service.(Even doing early morning parking lot witnessing.) Curiously, I didn't want to be an MS or elder tho. 🤔 I'm so glad I snapped out of it, my wife had zero confidence that I ever would lol. Have an awesome day!

Married to a sister that became a regular pioneer. I lost privileges because of her. I spent a few years just fighting to get them back little by little. Every time I'd get SOMEthing... even a tiny thing... within a week, it would be taken away and I'd be left with nothing again. She was cruel and abusive at home, while sweet and spiritual outside the home. Eventually found out, when I'd been given a privilege, she would go to the elders and accuse me of the very cruelties and abuses she would commit in private (the elders NOT ONCE spoke of this to me in those years-- she told them not to). I went to the elders with this knowledge, I didn't even get half a paragraph into it when I was shut down and told a shepherding call was in order. It was your basic vanilla "wife is vase, husband is head" counsel-- despite my accusation of her behavior. And nothing changed. (this, and similar issues after, is what lead me to conclude God's spirit wasn't with the elders and I stopped meetings cold turkey)

Years ago, I was an elder (after a decade in bethel) in a congo when I was approached by a young brother under 20 yrs old. His conscience bothered him because he was alone with a girl from work & they started kissing. I asked him if that was all. Crestfallen he said: “Yes” I assured him that he’s spoken with me, an elder, so that it doesn’t need to go any further. Then I asked: “Can I speak to you man to man?” “Sure” I swear that my next words are verbatim: “Look dude! You’re a good looking guy, young, with your whole life ahead of you. _Don’t f*ck up your life by getting some girl pregnant!”_ We hugged. He left. And nothing more was said.

I once stood as a groomsman in the wedding of a ministerial servant, coincidentally, the same Jack Sparrow fanboy I mentioned in my previous post. I remember his best man, a fellow MS, speaking on the mic at the reception. By way of offering friendly advise to the groom who is an auto mechanic by profession, he said (I'm paraphrasing here) Now that you have a wife to come home to you can't be working those late hours anymore, so, you can't use excuses like, "I have a head job to finish, or, I have to complete a lube job before I come home. Sometimes you'll have to put work on hold and go home to be with your wife. Afterwards, he was approached by an elder who told him, "next time be careful and don't be using term like "head job" and lube job in your speech". Honestly, it never occurred to me that the best man was referring to anything other than fixing cars, up to that point. I thought it was just weird that the elder felt it was necessary to check him on it. I mean, where has that elder been spending his nights?😂

I was at work during the premiere and didn’t get to watch it all so I’m in the replay gang! I can’t stand people who put their noses in other people’s business, and I don’t do it either! I never tried to get too close to the other young people in the congregation because I didn’t trust them, especially since I was always plotting my escape!😂😂😂

Hey, get educated on Palestine.... it is NOT a religious conflict, it's European settler-colonialism, based on secular Zionism, founded by atheists. Israel is a largely secular racist apartheid state which has a 76-year history of ethnic cleansing torture and genocide. Supporting justice restoration and restitution for the dispossessed and oppressed people of Palestine is NOT a religous issue. It is not support for any religious group, or faith. Many Palestinians are Christians. Many Jews oppose Zionism. Btw, over 18,000 children and 14,000 women have been murdered in Gaza since October 2023 by US-supplied bombs and shells dropped by US-manufactured F16 and F35 Israeli aircraft, paid for by the US taxpayer. Trump has suspended all US foreign aid with the exception of Israel and Egypt (ruled by a brutal US-puppet dictator). The UN's International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel has perpetrated a plausible genocide in Gaza and the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu. Why shouldn't gays or anyone else support the Palestinian people given the dreadful history of imperialism and colonialism of their country? Read up on it before making throwaway comments.

You make valid points. The innocent people, including children who have been murdered in Gaza over the last year is absolutely despicable. Both sides are at fault. In my opinion, it is largely a religious conflict. Each side thinks they have a God-given right to that land. But also, I wasn't making a comment on the conflict. I was talking about how both modern and ancient Islam in particular, treat women as second class citizens. Arranged child marriages. Women can't show their faces or speak up like men. I've heard many Muslim apologists speak on this issue, but never found a satisfactory or logical answer. Also from what I have seen first hand un multiple denominations, Christianity, does it as well. I really dislike religion of all sorts. And that means that I think that both sides of this horrific conflict that has hurt so many innocent people would be far better off without their magical thinking of invisible sky spirits. - Jason (from the channel)

@@jasonepos You clearly linked gay support for the Palestinian people, in a derogatory way, as support for Islam. Gazans have attempted peaceful methods to resist colonisation of their country by immigrants from Europe (the Great March of Return 2018, when unarmed people were shot by IDF snipers hundreds of metres from the fence). Gaza has been a concentration camp for 2.3m people for 17 years. 70% are descendants of refugees terrorised in at gunpoint in 1948 and 1967 by Zionist gangs and the IDF. 50% of Gazans are children. They have no army navy or airforce. Israel, supported to the hilt by a superpower, controls everything, all movement in and out, food water fuel. Kept on a subsistence diet by the people who stole their land. Zionism is a racist secular nationalist movement. You blame Palestinians for resisting their dehumanisation and dispossession? They are regarded as sub-human, or animals, by Zionists. You imply that gay people, who have humanitarian feelings and a love of justice, just like you and me, are stupid fools for supporting a defenceless dispossessed people. Btw, I'm not a Muslim, was brought up as a Christian, and have no attraction for the faith, but there are 1.4 billion of them on this planet. They are demonised in the West, particularly in the US and its media. Perhaps you should meet some of them and find out that they are just like us, the vast majority are peace loving and law-abiding. Contrast the US and its constant warmongering.
