I re-bought the Oneplus open. Got a pre-owned piece for 80k. 3 months old with Oneplus physical damage protection. Given all the shortfalls mentioned. I honestly think it's better than the competition. To name a few pros: Lesser visible crease, Great haptics, Full package with a super quick charger in the box, Physical finger print reader, The camera bump acts like a perfect shelf to rest on your index finger when using the outer screen, The back of the (black) phone has this faux leather finish that is not prone to scratches, Has an IR blaster to control your appliances at home, Matte rails and of course the trusted alert slider. I feel with charging speeds this quick, i don't mind giving up on wireless charging.

Have been using the OnePlus One for over a year now. 1. I want to address the dock part that you mentioned. Sure it does not work in that position, try to use it as a tent. That's how I use it on my desk. 2. Also, wireless charging, that should have been there, but the only reason for wireless charging for me is when I'm driving. In general, I love the charging speeds and don't really care for wireless charging. 3. The outer screen is so good. I went to the samsung store so many times before I booked the Open. I would hold the Fold 5 again and again, see if I would like the slimmer display or if the crease is fine. But the slimmer display was really something I wasn't getting used to. Pre-booked the Open, got it and I haven't been happier than this with a phone since I bought the LG Optimus One P500. And that was a long time ago (2010). 4. Canvas: I've seen so many reviewers talk about this and never have I felt anyone doing justice to that feature. It is really underrated. Plus the P-in-P capabilities of the phone are amazing. 5. Crease: My phone was delivered on 1st Nov and it has been over a year. The crease is still similar and much less in your face than a brand new Fold 5 (I haven't seen the 6 in real life yet) 6. Lastly, if you buy the phone for yourself and the experience and not to show it off and tell the world "jaanta hai mera baap kon hai" then the touch and feel of the phone is really amazing. And aesthetic wise, the green color with frosted glass back (prone to cracks) is one of the best looking phones out there. 7. Then there are all the KZbin reviewer stuff like - Alert slider (you beauty) - Physical Finger print sensor - Stereo speakers (really good) - E-Sim (must have for those who travel abroad) - Haptics Engine (as good as anyone out there) - Better and sturdy feeling hinge (i know it's debatable) All in all, this phone made me realise when I'm paying over 1L for a phone, it has to be a total package and experience, not just the brand value or specs. And definitely not an iPhone (guilty of paying over a lakh for an iPhone, swear to never do that till they actually launch something worthwhile)

Watching this on my 5 year old folding phone, the LG G8x, my primary daily driver for 5 years! It's waterproof (IP68), has wireless charging (which OnePlus Fold doesn't), I still prefer the cameras over Samsung, and the fold holds itself up in any angle, all the way to 360 degrees. Best is, I can simply take the phone out of the dual case and use as a regular phone if needed, though the only time I've done this is when using it with a gimbal (try using any of these Folding phones with a gimbal! 😂), or when I need to save battery when I'm travelling and don't have my power bank. Oh, and it has Desktop Mode (like Samsung Dex). Old is gold! I'm hanging on to it as the utility of a dual screen case can't be beat. Truly works like 2 phones, and can actually run 4 apps at a time. When any of these brands have the foresight to pair their phones with a dual case, is the only time I'm considering changing.
