Realistically speaking even a small aircraft carrier has arresting cables, my thought was to use the power coupling and a hook on the plane.

It’s a good idea, but the power couplers only have collisions where they connect to each other.

I am kinda confused cus Scrap said friction pads would help with the bouncing when Yzuei suggested to not use then. Like friction pads give horizontal friction, not vertical. It wouldn't have changed anything about the bouncing

A cool carrier idea would be a power coupling acting as a catching cord for the vehicle. You could attach each side to the carrier with suspension so it has resistance to the plane with a bit of give.

11th day of asking, Dear Scrapman, I have an idea. The challenge would be to go as fast as possible in either kp/h or time from corner to corner of the grid map with a set power core limit like maybe 50 or 100. I think this would be an interesting challenge due to the need to balance aero, acceleration and the power limit. - Yes I will try on the discord, but I cant be bothered, and I'm stubborn, so I will try this method for 1 month and then start on discord.

In my experience playing trailmakers, It would be better to build the fastest possible boat on no waves with a very low core limit. E.g with 4 cores i managed to get up to ~511km/h
