I found myself wondering today why is no one talking about a third fight with Stipe and Ngannou? Why is Stipe not demanding it? When have we ever had two champions and stars split two outings one a piece and nobody is talking about a tie breaker, a trilogy? I know all the distractions but shouldn't somebody be at least talking about it at all. Stipe beat Francis unanimous five round drumming, Ngannou handled Stipe and stopped him bad in 2. Maybe it's how decisive that 2nd fight ended but still we need that third fight.

At the start of Ngannou run, Dana said he had too big of an ego and needed to humble himself. All Frances knows is hard work and personal growth in the fight game. He can’t sit down and put himself into a different business. Why pay top dollar for a promotion team when you already work for the top mma promotion?

Seems like not talking is working pretty well for him, we're speculating about Stipe and Jones and Dana can't make it or another big heavyweight fight until he knows what's going on with Francis. Francis is the brand ambassador for Gym Shark and exploring other potentially better financial opportunities in boxing while he's injured and still the champ. The way I see it is Dana is kind of painted into a corner right now, propelling Jones to a title fight with a former champion without one HW fight would have been dubious even before his criminal activity this year. Ultimately he'll have to move on from Ngannou if Francis takes too long but it's very different than other departing/retiring champions as he's in his prime and important to the growth of the sport in Africa. I don't think there's a showcase Africa card without Ngannou. There's also the French rivalry with Gane and the rematch that would go up in smoke. And what's the HW division without those three? A bag of sand
