18:15 The reason Norman and Agatha have the same ears and big eyebrows is because they’re related, albeit distantly related. Agatha’s surname is Prenderghast, which is the surname of Norman’s uncle (actually great-uncle as Norman’s mom said he’s her uncle) who is called Mr Prenderghast. All three of them have the same big eyebrows and also the same eyes.

Also, the zombies rising also took an entire year to animate and that was animated by Travis Knight, the CEO of the studio. Theory is the witch is Norman's ancestor since they both talked to the dead and they looked similar. I do like the message of the movie. That fear of the unknown is what was bad. That people acting on fear, doing terrible things thinking they were right at the time, and the cycle of violence it can cause. It's a good reminder some people need, and props for using realistic examples referencing the witch trials which had very real and extreme consequences for innocent victims and the modern version of it of outcasting someone and mob tendancies.

I don’t think Norman being related to Aggie is a theory. It’s Canon. Laika did a Q&A one time and did confirm they are related. And there’s also like a ton of clues pointing to the fact that they are both related, even the novelization, Norman points out that they are in fact related.

Even though I know the film very well, I didn't want to be thinking of what you guys were saying ;) After my recent rewatch, I think it gets closer to dethroning Coraline for my favourite Laika film. It's got ghosts, zombies and a witch. There's a little more exploration of Norman and how everyone views him. There's some really clever lines from Norman's grandmother. Like at the beginning she says: "I’m sure if they just bothered to sit down and talk it through it’d be a different story." Which is of course what Norman does with Agatha in the finale. And the line: "There’s nothing wrong with being scared, Norman. So long as you don’t let it change who you are." Which again, ties back to Agatha. After what she was put to death, she came back and had changed and become more evil out of fear and revenge.

Yeah Because while Yes Both Norman & Chicken little are outcasts the difference is Norman is seen as just Weird by most people due to him seeing Ghosts While others can’t, whilst chicken little is harassed for making one misunderstanding
