Nice video! But in terms of 3 coasters in 3 years- what about Magnum in 1989, Disaster Transport (a rework like TT2) in 1990, and Mean Streak in 1991?
@cedarpointless2 ай бұрын
Thanks for pointing this one out! I felt like there had to be another case, but I wrote, shot and edited this video in 2.5 hours and only had about 30 minutes to dig through the back catalog of rides and couldn't find anything. But it can be hard since past rides, current rides and rebranded rides all exist in differing lists.

Enclosing Avalanche Run didn't alter the actual track/ride. The experience changed, but I wouldn't say it was a new ride. TT2 did alter the ride. So I'd say Distaser was still the same ride, just enclosed, while TT2 is a different ride made with some of TTD track. But I do have to give it to you as this isn't the first time CP has advertised back-to-back-to-back roller coasters

Agree on all points. I also find that a lot of enthusiasts become anti enthusiasts. I welcome the new coaster, offering a new experience not only for the park, for me personally, along with almost everyone else. For me, I think it will be fun and it's a great addition to a great coaster lineup! Well done CP!!!

This coaster wasn’t built for CP

I agree with you completely this is a long game play they are adding this coaster but I think next season we will start seeing some movement in the snake river falls plot and by 2027 a full expansion of that area with new flats and another mega coaster they have the room the fling will go the farm area will go unfortunately
@jsmith01212 ай бұрын
Yeah I think the farm will be gone soon but the animals won't. The "great camel escape of 2024" was no accident, but a trial run of things to come.

The more I listen to you and watch your channel, the more I appreciate, respect and enjoy you! Definitely don't agree with everything but what would be beneficial about that in regards a topic such as roller coasters😂💯 Thank you for being you, keep it up

I think calling Wild Mouse a coaster is a big stretch & Dragster was open 6 days & is now a 420 foot paperweight 💀
@rafetizerАй бұрын
Wild Mouse is clearly a coaster.

It's a dumb gimmick but at least it will draw some people from other lines.

CP is in panic mode right now. TT2 was only done because of the incident. So the revamp became a priority. Bumping/canceling, whatever was supposed to be done this year. And it only operating for 8 days has CP panicking more. Siren's Curse is a very last minute addition, with almost no buildup to the announcement, and also announcing it over a month after the 2025 season passes went on sale. CP also typically gets custom layouts and this is (likely) a (twice) relocated standard layout coaster. It also not opening with the park in May is also unlike CP Snake River removal has likely been in the works for a while and they either don't feel the need or want to keep it open one more year before that area expansion can happen, but it is possible if the 2026 additional is going to be in that location that site work may need to begin early next year
@rafetizerАй бұрын
Why would they be in panic mode, they still have a great park. It's not like people _only_ visit if there's a new ride.
@RonnieRLDАй бұрын
@rafetizer a main attraction that's been closed for a couple years finally reopens with me issues after a major rebuild. And probably hurt their attendance for this season and annoyed a bunch of people. The rebuild was also a reaction to the incident and wasn't planned, so it's disrupted their plans for years, right after having some slow years

I think you are giving cedar point too much credit for planning ahead, when the simplest explanation is that this was a last-minute panic decision because of tt2 troubles.

I realized after watching the discussion unfold around this ride that there is still more to say on the topic. Working on another video to address it. Hope you'll tune it!
@michaezell46072 ай бұрын
It makes no sense to add this type of ride when CP already has a dive coaster.
@cedarpointless2 ай бұрын
I think the gimmick won't be the big selling point in the long run for the ride. The gimmick is fun for marketing but I think just being fun is what makes it successful in the long run.

I went to Cedar Point in August and honestly, Steel Vengeance killed every single other coaster in that park...including Maverick. Maverick's wait times are stupid compared....hour and a half on a wednesday while I rode Steel Vengeance twice and both times the wait time was 30 minutes lol.
@cedarpointless2 ай бұрын
Steel vengeance consistently tops people's lists. It's definitely surprising how much they were able to transform that ride
