Every single video of yours, I walk away with something new to think on. Yes! I struggle with stating my intention concisely when speaking in front of a group. I’m definitely going to be more intentional about asking “how” and “what” questions. Lots to think about here and how it applies to my youtube job as well as my role in my church. Reflective listening is difficult.

Well...you just reflective listened right here in this comment, Shawn :-) Guess you have a knack for it after all.

So your idea of sharing "failures" has been reinforced in an autobiography I am reading! As a teacher, this is a golden idea!

Fun! Reinforced by example in the sense that they are sharing lots of their failures in the autobiography? Or is the person touting this concept/idea as well.

Fantastic tips, Chad. I can see the application for those of us in the workplace training, learning, and development space using these techniques when facilitating training.

100% ... I'm actually presenting at the TICE conference to 500 L&D / training folks next week in Raleigh. They are indeed "my peeps."

@@chad.littlefield hey Chad! "do not worry about whether people like you or not" is a powerful tip and reminder! I think that sometimes we spend to much time and energy trying to please everyone (and... let´s face it: it is impossible!). We need to feel comfortable with what we do (giving our best) and keeping our own style ;). THANKS SO MUCH for a valuable video!

i'd love some examples of stating you intentions in less formal even social situations.
@chad.littlefield6 ай бұрын
Hmm, I dive into these more deeply here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXycfIhvbMeDmck but one example might be, "Hey, you all want to come over for dinner tonight, so that we can enjoy 3 hours with no phones and good people?" Being clear about intention involves a small level of social risk. But the benefit is almost always worth it because you invite EVERYBODY to be playing the same game-or opt out of the game altogether which is just as important.

It’s funny…I’ve been watching several videos of yours everyday. Today I presented some material supplied by a potential employer I was interviewing with, and some of what I’ve already learned came out. I nailed it. Where do I send your royalty check to? Heh Heh...
@chad.littlefield3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Joining the party via my email list at weand.me/ideas/ is a higher honor than any royalty check haha! So psyched to hear the outcome of the interview!

If that was so, why do so many fall for nacisstic behaviour of people who talk about themselves and how great they are all the time?
