It's amazing how he can play such vastly different characters and give wonderful performances and insight into all of them. And he's such a down to earth guy! Definitely one of the most underrated actors in the industry.

I love that about him as well! The fact that he can play such an array of diverse characters, and be amazing at it, every time. True talent right there.

I'm glad he is becoming bigger, I think why he is so good at films that his characters are depressed/insane is because he sells it. you can feel the pain in that character and he is just a amazing actor who can show that pain that many can relate to.

I like this interviewer! She asks good questions, not the usual stuff you hear. James Mcavoy is an amazing actor as well :)

Personally the character, Bruce is very unpleasant man but thanks to James McAvoy’s tremendous acting skills he makes his character attractive and make us feel empathy and pititul. And I’m sure he is the most underrated actor i know.

James puts it so well. Like, at the start of the movie I absolutely hated him. I kept watching because I was fascinated but I never imagined I'd be crying my eyes out by the end of it. And I didn't feel sympathy for him but I did feel a little empathy of his whole situation.

I liked Bruce Roberson from the start to the end of the movie. And I did feel sympathy for him and was rooting for him to get that promotion. In his situation he could either self-destruct alone and depressed or with a bang like he did, I'd prefer the latter any day.

So proud he’s Scottish there has been some fine actors that have come out of Scotland and this guy is up there with the best of them, I have said that since the first time I saw him in shameless!

James Mcavoy is such a craftsman in every movie,he moves and captivates you but this one is perhaps the best so far. He plays with our emotions in such a way that I can even explain... It's like a punch,a heartbreak,a hangover, an org@sm and a kick in the gut all at the same time. Job well done. Impressive.

No...6:53.....ah yes, Mr. McAvoy, that is VERY true! The way this guy can turn the emotion on convincingly on camera is amazing. For your next trick, I challenge you to play a true bad guy! The one everyone WANTS to hate!

It's ironic that it was banned in India, as one of their most popular movies is 'Dabangg' (when I lived there - I lived there for a year in 2012), which is about a corrupt, (I would agrue) abusive cop. People kind of idolize the cop though... (I never understood it)

How is James nothing like Robbie?
@daylite3410 жыл бұрын
in the book, robbie was described as this tall muscular handsome man. or "a 6'5 bronzed adonis" as he described it in the interview. i mean james is very handsome but he's definitely on the petite side~
@xueyanli731410 жыл бұрын
I know James and Robbie might not be alike in terms of their looks. But that doesn't make them "nothing alike." To move a book onto the big screen, of course some changes have to be made. But think about their personality, they are everything alike. They both have filthy thoughts, feel insecure sometimes, and (look) honest. So I still quite don't get why James would say that.

if you're still searching for an answer, james said in another interview that robbie is just a much better person than him and that he aspires to be as good but he doesn't think he'll meet his level. He also said that he adores robbie and wishes he was his pal
