Keep going you're on the right track. I do something silly but it really works for me. I put a number that is my next goal wt on my hand, inside wrist or where you can see it, & not wash it off. I look at it a lot, puts a smile on my face when I reach it! Even a happy dance. Whatever gets you motivated. ❤

I eat same everyday it does not matter whether I am on vacation or it is Thanksgiving or Christmas I eat the same every day and have for 5 years now. I never have to worry about getting back in the saddle as she stated. I don't even think about food all day long just like I don't think about having a drink or a cigarette after quitting both those bad habits 45 years ago. The secret is eating correctly every day, day after day after day. No matter where I am at, even if we are traveling and eating out every meal, I can eat correctly day after day. I wished I had learned this 45 years ago so I could have lived a lean active life instead of a obese life like I did being hungry most of the time or having cravings. No more!!! Exercise is good for the body but is Worthless when it comes to weight loss! One Rum and Coke should set you back at least for three weeks a BIG time NO NO for weight loss. Good Luck.

I found that doing a 3-4 day fat fast is a good cleanse before moving forward. Just eat a bunch of butter, cream cheese, bacon. It’s very satisfying, and will get you into ketosis quickly. Enjoy with salad and high fat dressing. God bless

Ok. Don’t come at me. I have a legit question for all. I’m on day 4 of keto, extreme newby here. Is diarrhea “normal” starting out? SORRY TMI eating clean. Tracking calories, net carb, protein, 120 oz water day (32 oz of which contain an LMNT). 🤷♀️🤦♀️

I usually have to split my LMNT into 2 different drinks or else I can experience that as well. I’ve been KETO for 4 years.

You’re still going to drink alcohol once a week? That’s a slippery slope, it kills your ketones and then you’ll have more cravings the next day for tempting things. It’s not worth it to me but maybe you can handle it. It s an aggressive goal to lose 25 lbs by end of summer, I wish you the best.

@Jennieadams1979 ya it tastes so good on a hot day but so does ice cream right ? That’s how I have to think about it. Also it’s frankly a poison for the body, we refuse to think of it that way but it’s true, the liver has to work so hard on detoxifying from it and filtering it out that it (the liver) stops working on everything else - hence hangover or even just weight stalls or weight gain. It’s not good for us if we’re in the stage of trying to change habits and/or losing body fat in Middle Ages especially. However she got thru that first summer is what she should do this summer, otherwise I think she’ll struggle… but maybe I’m projecting. 26 lbs in 13 weeks? Probably too aggressive unless she’s fasting a lot. I’ll be lucky to lose that by Thanksgiving!

A very healthy Liver is very very important for weight loss and maintenance. Any alcohol can really set some people back with their weight loss and maintenance goals. After living life at a normal weight for the last four years almost nothing is more important to me that continuing to do so. She may have to decide whether it is living life at a normal weight or the alcohol that she would like the most.

As Jess says you do you. I try to lose weight, husband can lose 7lbs whilst I lose 2lbs. 1 drink will not scupper you, not staying focused and motivated is what scuppers you. What I love about Jess is she is taking charge of her own health. Planning , for her, seems to be working .

@@bridiesmith5110 You can be focused and motivated but if you eat incorrectly that is what scuppers you. One drink can scupper some people!! For some people one drink leads to two drinks and the next time two drinks leads to three drinks. It took me 45 years to figure everything out so Jess has 40 more years to catch me. I could save her those 40 years if I had two hours with her. I pray for her and that she gets this figured out for the long term. She has the motivation but not the knowledge. Good Luck
