I have been doing OMAD for over 4 years now. I have never felt better in my life and have been able to keep all my lean body mass because my focus is on eating protein. Good luck and keep up the good work. Rome was not built in a day.

Thanks Jess. I follow so many people on KZbin and Insta. I have found that each person has the ability to share what is working or has worked for them. Each and every one of us come to the table with a different set of needs, abilities and metabolic difficulties. They key for any one person is to find what works for them. For me , what has worked in the past is not working now. So i am again at it looking for the right recipie and combination of nutrition , timing and activity that will help me reach my goal. Thanks for your transparency and for your determination to stick with a moving forward perspective. God bless your journey, stay strong and Keto-On!...

I don’t understand the 6 sports teams at once. But okay.

@Jennieadams1979 it’s probably a regional culture thing, in the Bay Area that’s not common at all - with price, traffic, schedules, it doesn’t work.

I'm surprised you would do OMAD and not at least have two or three protein shakes on your "fasting" days. Only because I know that maintaining muscle mass is important to you.
@julieswhirled95327 ай бұрын
Fasting doesn’t deplete muscle mass, the body is not that dumb, the body will use up glycogen then body fat. Only after that the body will be forced to use protein sources like muscle and extra skin. That becomes dangerous but you can see it in anorexia all the time.

@@julieswhirled9532 The body cannot use glycogen or body fat to repair, build, or maintain tissue. It requires protein for that, and there is no storage compartment for protein other than muscle tissue. It is simply a fact that you are in a catabolic state after a night's sleep, and will remain catabolic until you have a protein feeding. Don't take my word for it, listen to the experts. I highly recommend the episode of "The Drive" podcast with guest Don Layman.

@@merrieleiderman ha! Then how are we all here right now from thousands of years of famine and war? People didn’t eat every day but we’re all here. You don’t need to eat protein when you fast. Such an American myth that food companies push. And with HGH you can maintain or gain muscle. Autophagy is more important for disease control to many of us.
