Guys, serious food prep hack that I figured out. If you're making a salad as part of your food do as follows: #1 Use whatever green you want (spinach, kale, baby greens, romaine lettuce, etc.) #2 Dont add anything "wet" to it. So, if you're going to add tomatoes use cherry tomatoes and leave them whole. You can add COLD chicken, egg, whatever meat you want.. But it HAS to be pre-chilled. #3 Following the "Dont add anything wet" keep your dressing in a small container inside the salad, but do not pour it over the salad. The goal is to keep the lettuce as dry as dry as possible. #4 Finally, and most importantly, lay a paper towel or napkin over the top of your salad before sealing the lid. This will absorb any excess moisture in the contained and will stop the lettuce/greens from becoming soggy. If you follow these steps your salad will be JUST as crunchy and delicious on the final day as it was on the 1st day.

I’m a certified Nutritionist and hands down this is a very well made video! There’s so much misinformation out there with all kinds of diets (which I loathe. Diets don’t work) that people lose themselves to analysis paralysis therefore they end up quitting on eating normal nutritious foods! This made me really happy! It’s not a diet :) it’s for sure balanced meals! For maintaining weight someone could add a little bit more but all in all the food included in this video is solid. This was very refreshing to watch!

@@trickylady1423 what is wrong with that? Many people have an egg or two for breakfast every day or take hard boiled eggs like that for lunch or a snack every day. Eggs are super healthy and a good source of protein and other nutrients.

The number of people arguing under this video is upsetting. One says she should have written the shopping list, one moans that it's too much work, one argues that it's not specific for their own diet or they don't like a certain food. Like, people, she's giving a hint and the possible substitute to it, grab it and plan your own meal around it without being lazy, it's not like she can come to each of you and make the job for you! On a happier note, a lot of people also gave nice suggestions and tips to help out and I wish I could thank them all, they make internet and real world still a nice place! Also, meat can be stored in the fridge for 2/3 days, the rest can be easily frozen, nothing bad will happen to it, if you cook and freeze it properly. Salad you can't really freeze, but you can keep it separate and add it to your meal when time to eat comes, it will only take 30 seconds.

I think she did an amazing job indeed! Really good tasty dishes for lazy and / or people (both in my case haha). And I am very happy she told you can store some of them in the freezer as well! My only concern is how long the nutrients will stay in, as it is known that prepped food looses some nutritional value quickly, but hey you can't have all, and it's still healthy.

I started your plan a week ago & have already lost 3 pounds, feel MUCH better (used to have to take a nap daily, but am feeling much more energetic now), & I just feel so good about myself in general - YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER. I just meal prepped all of these, thank you! My grocery bill was $55.00 for all of the ingredients that I needed for this. I could easily spend that eating out just for lunch at work every day, which has been a bad habit of mine lately. I'm so glad all of my meals/snacks are prepped! My only suggestion, is to tell us how much lemon juice to use for the salad. I had to guess and taste test. Also, it took me way over an hour, it actually took me 4 hours (plus 1 hour hunting for all the ingredients at the store), because I only have 1 cutting board, and I cut all my own veggies, since uncut was cheaper, and I kept having to go to the video. However, next time I will probably do it in half the time, because since I've already done it, I will probably know what I need and what to do without having to go to the video. It was still soooo worth it, and I'm very excited that I won't have to cook for the rest of the week! 😁😁
@ideljenny6 жыл бұрын
55$? If I would buy all the exact same things I'd end up around dubble that. Particulary fresh salmon, fresh blueberries and fresh strawberries would break the bank. I also have to buy each thing as a bag or a box, which means I buy more food then i'd eat. With mealprep, I make sure everything can go into the freezer and comes from the freezer if I cant buy it per gram.

I'm following this meal prep plan this week. The food is delicious and filling, and I've lost a couple pounds in three days. It took me 3 hours to prepare everything. I didn't buy pre-cut veggies, and I'm not the most skilled cook. But I will be making this meal plan again and again. Thanks for sharing.

To keep salad fresher its better to add lemon juice and olive oil while eating. Thanks for the video.
@BigHenFor5 жыл бұрын
Keep salad leaves and vegetables dry and dressing free until you serve them to stay fresh for a week. Just put the dressing in a little covered pot like Sistema's Snack pots and pop it inside the salad in its container. Cover with a paper towel and seal. Your salad will stay fresh and crisp until you're ready to eat it. Just dress the salad before eating.

Several things strike me in this video. First, the vibrant colors! Everything looks so delicious and inviting! There's no feeling of deprivation with all of the flavors and variety here. Second, you have done an amazing job balancing food groups while being conscious of calorie content. It's truly amazing. You're thorough and conscious of details. You've done all of the planning and calculating so that the rest of us can just execute the plan and focus on enjoying it. Third: I'm pretty sure I'd take two or three hours to do this. HAHA!

I don't really like cooking so it's a relief to get it all done within an hour or two, depending on what meals I decide to make for the week, then I'm all organised and I know my body is getting all the nutrients it needs and it's nice to have some variety in my healthy eating plan so I don't get bored. Great video. For the salads I would prep and chop up all the ingredients before, but add seasoning only on the day I would consume it. That way everything would keep fresh for longer. Kale might be an exception since it becomes softer from the oil.

Just bought this program for my wife. Although she states the program is easy to follow it's actually not. It has do with the point system, you have to count calories, a lot of reading and no grocery list is provided. It breaks it down day by day but we don't know how much of something to buy for 1 week. Adding a grocery list would be helpful. Shout out to that girl in the comments who took the time and energy to type it out for everyone. Make sure you have the time(which we don't since we both work 40+ hours/week) to really map this program out before you buy it. We're going to give it our best shot.
@LETHALxMODs6 жыл бұрын
Also, after looking at the workouts it's also complicated because you have to constantly go back and forth with the whole PDF file. You get pictures and the days you do the work outs in but then it says to do HIIT and LISS but you dont know....what....those...... are...are you have to look back and add them in...so basically you have to write it out for yourself and go off of that not so much the file. lol damn. Still going to help her do this just know it's not as easy and she makes it seem.

On her blog she posted these weight loss meal plans. There she put all the ingredients and how to make it step by step like the video :)

Maybe you could print some of the more confusing details out so they're easier to go back & reference. HIIT means High Intensity Interval Training basically GO HARD for 30 seconds & rest for 90 seconds. I haven't purchased the program, so I'm not sure but I would guess LISS involves Low Impact Something or other S? Feel free to correct me & best of luck to you & your wife!

I have tried this meal prep this week and it was going well until....I got to the last 3 days. The cooked meals were ok but the kale, beetroot and cranberry salad went off. There were white spots all over it. I have photos but I don't know if or how to show people. It didn't look like the fungus you get on old food but more like white droplets. It smelt strong already from the Balsamic vinegar but it also smelt a bit off. I was shocked as it wasn't even the end of the 7 days and the salad had vinegar so I thought it would keep. I ate all the egg lunches first because I new that the egg would not last long and I ate all the salmon dinners. So disappointed as I tasted that salad when I was making it and it was delicious. I wish I had followed kellsey rocca's advice in the previous comments and not added the wet ingredients. I will make the salad the day before as it is quick. I'm not going to prep for the whole week. Liezl's recipes are really quick anyway. The week isn't over and I have lost 3lbs, no effort or hunger thanks Liezl😘

You can just make the 3-day same meal on a Sunday, and it will last till Wednesday when you could make the 4-day same food, which will last until the next Sunday. You want to use 16oz jars. It is just the right size that gives you enough room to stir around the ingredients. Don't forget to get widemouth (the kind Liezl has in the video) and not regular. Widemouth is easier to clean and makes it easier for you to stir.

HOW TO MAKE A MEAL PLAN 1. Write down all the meals you plan on having in the next few days, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Stick to proven recipes and meals you can easily make even in your sleep, to start. No need to try to learn how to cook something when you’re wanting to be as efficient and quick as possible. 2. List out all the ingredients you’ll need to make them and how much of each you’ll need. 3. Time to go grocery shopping! 4. Set aside one or two days to get all your meal prep done - try to keep it to 1 hour or less for each cooking session so you don’t hate these days of actually cooking your meal prep recipes.
@MaudKonyn5 жыл бұрын
