I actually met Weird Al, at a book signing (Barnes and Noble) back in 2013. Everyone in the long winding line was given a piece of paper and pencil so that they could jot down what they wanted Al to write in their book. It was such a joy to watch how Al smiled and interacted with his fans. He was so sweet, sincere and patient!! One woman started crying, when she walked up to him, and without hesitation Al got up and gave her a warm hug, When it was our turn my then 12 year old daughter got real shy and Al playfully mimicked her and made her laugh! 🥰

Weird Al is truly a treasure. He has had the amazing ability to be a musical genius, use it to make parodies, become a superstar because of those parodies, creates a 40 year career of it, and be humble enough not to let it go to his head or lead by his ego.

I adore Al. Met him 3 times after concerts where he graciously stayed after the show and signed things at his tour bus. Not only is he a genuinely sweet, sincere, and humble man, but so are his band members (and let's not forget that those band members have to play everything from polka to rap to country in their shows-- they are all *ridiculously* talented in their own right). They all stayed outside the bus too and signed stuff, talked to fans, and it was a blast-- even though they had a 6+ hour bus ride to their next show the next day and it was well after midnight when they got done. My love and admiration for Weird Al and Berm, Steve, Jim, and Ruben is unending and I hope they are able to tour for many, many years to come.

When I first saw the trailer, I had almost completely forgotten about the parody trailer on FoD all those years back. After a few seconds of the trailer, it was clear that they just made the fake trailer into a movie, which is the most brilliant idea ever. I was so thrilled to see Eric Appell, as mentioned the director, still out there grinding every day for these. As a once-I-tried-for-like-six-months-but-eventually-gave-up-because-i-was-bad filmmaker, I always struggled with my writing and making things "believable", which is why I so envy the idea of "Oh hey, lets just make it up!". With very little original content coming out these days, it is so nice to see a brand new story being told, even if it is incredibly fake.

Weird Al deserves this biopic! And he's still so positive and enthusiastic and brilliant! I am totally looking forward to this movie!

Weird Al is a national treasure. He looks at The Beatles and Frank Sinatra and thinks "I don't belong here," even though his cultural influence by now has far surpassed theirs. Truly an incredibly humble man. As an icon once said, "He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life." Not a bad song on his first like 6 albums. Nobody else can claim that.

I love how "Weird" Al is the least weird person in showbiz.

Jimmy must actually be a fan, he didn't spend the whole interview interrupting and fake cackle laughing like he usually does.
