Sean O'Malley draws increasing attention with each showing. 'Sugar' appreciates women of high quantity, dope in high quality and the high of walk-off knockouts. He is soon to challenge for the UFC Bantamweight title. It's time to recall O'Malley's venomous KO’s, which have earned him the reputation as one of the sport's sensational prospects.

O'Malley is fast and accurate and he hits hard, but a lot of fighters have those qualities. The reason O'Malley dominates the division is because he has a 4 - 5 inch height and reach advantage over the bantamweights. He doesn't just walk up, he stays out of their range because of his long reach.

Yeah that guy must have an extra thick skull or something. Still, I think there were some shenanigans going on with them adding some coloring to the video to make Moutinho's face look like frankenstein. If you go to the 15:00 minute mark in the video--where he's fighting Yan--you can see Yan's face has normal coloration, but then at 15:03 all of a sudden his face turns gray. Kind of disappointing they felt the need to do that. But maybe they were trying to get around some kind of youtube censorship against showing too much blood by changing the color.

Love O'Malley: after every decisive punch, after every knockout he inflicts on his opponent, he remains serious, does not jump, does not exult, does not look at the audience. It is rare to see a fighter who reacts so seriously, he is exactly the opposite of the (rude) MC Gregor. I almost catch a glimpse of sadness on his face. Btw, his restrained behaviour makes him highly noble, dignified and above all respectful towards his opponents who are down and probably suffering both from the pain of the blows received and from defeat.

Skinny doesn't mean weak. It never has. It's easy to think skinny people aren't durable or strong, but you have to remember, muscle density matters, long, thick, it doesn't matter, density is what matters. Some of the strongest people I've ever locked up with were rail thin, wirey, and highly energetic. It makes them tough to deal with. Also, if they get leverage, it will cancel most of the strength advantage you might have on a long skinny guy. They just get good at applying natural physics somehow.

I thought when he grabbed Sean he would toss him to the ground and submit him. Sean has better than average standup defense and escape. Seans best asset is his frame his size. That's why people shouldn't doubt what Bruce Lee could've done. Being able to pick apart your opponent with crazy kicks and punches everywhere. Conor McGregor used to have it too, until he fought that Mayweather fight, then his style changed to more strictly boxing. Maybe because the quality of Conor's high kicks weren't as proficient. Having a lethal spinning roundhouse is a huge advantage if your opponent doesn't. Not everyone can throw that kick. I fell on my ass trying it one day - the one where it has an extra rotation. Looks so cool and powerful if you can pull it off fast. Not everyone has that level of agility though. I can see why being a ballerina would help.

He’s got an unusual combination of speed, reflexes, athleticism, and accuracy that allow him to get away with a relatively weak defense. Like this guy. His moves often see to have no prep, no reason they wouldn't be detected in advance and countered easily, but he's been reading his opponent, using timing and feints incredibly smoothly, which is arguably the highest form of fighting. That can let even a much slower/older/less powerful man beat his opponent, and sometimes way more easily than would seem to make any sense at all. It's not just raw speed.. He's hitting where people are not looking, and where he has set them up not to look.
