I ordered A36 flat for a test and received hardened flat bar. Failed the test twice before I looked at the certs for the Flat bar. Make sure you know what your working with. Bend test shows everything!

Bandsaw saves time. Anything requiring heat treat should not be flame or plasma cut. Grinding could remove HAZ from flame cut but not assured.

I passed a seismic test for California. Just take your time. Don’t grind in the direction the Bend.

@@4AM_DJ Pretty much. With the exception. All Welds are x-rayed, bend tested. It’s not an easy test to pass. They look at everything in detail.
