The hydraulic hoses where a 50/50 shot at getting it right but its actually a 50/50/90 because its actually a 50/50 shot at getting it wrong 90% of the time. Usually how it works out for me anyway. Good video. It alt to been good with all the gopros y'all had recording. Stay well. -Wil 👍
@Crewsy2 жыл бұрын
The 50/50/90 rule works in other ways too. At work parts (camshafts) are loaded onto carts to bring them to the line. They have a 50/50 chance of loading them the right way but are wrong 90% of the time and we have to spin the bins around the right way.

Word of advice on the vail rippers. Keep the mud cleaned out between the barrel of cylinder and frame. We have had mud get packed and over time it'll dent the barrel then destroy the piston and send metal threw entire system.

I bought a 3/4" drive Milwaukee when I had my truck and trailer to change tires. I used it many times in the Yukon and Alaska to switch out a flat tire. I had to 5.0AH batteries to go with the 3/4" impact. I could cross rotate all eight drive tires with two batteries. I did torque all my lug nuts with a torque wrench to 500 ft/lbs. It had enough power to break lug nuts loose that I could not break loose with a 3/4" drive breaker bar and 6" of pipe. The pipe was bending. It took all it had and probably close to a minute of hammering, but it broke them loose.

Back months ago, I wondered why a Deere, and not a Cat... In spite of my general feelings about JD and their expensive "dealer only" repair issues with farm equipment, I have to admit to seeing a positive side of their designs in the dozers. Its actually been fun following your JD Dozer journey...a bit of a stumble at first, then being well treated by J&J, then actually upgrading, and now extra-fitting. Got a new channel to watch too, enjoying J&J. Hoping they will cover some Unimogs one of these days. Nice to hear everyone laughing.. if only all business could be as fun and genuine.. it would be a far better world.

That shot of it lifted off the ground, reminded me of the Edwards Proving Grounds when the D10 was shown to CAT employees. When the D10 was jacked up like that, a guy walked under it, between the tracks, making it look like it would be real easy to change the engine oil 😎

Hey DP... I bought a M18 1/2 in. Impact Wrench specifically because it would break the lug nuts on a heavy duty truck. I watched a KZbin of some dude do it... so I took a chance buying one at Home Depot. It worked for me and it was a lot cheaper than the 1 inch drive. Here is the model number of the one I bought... 2767-21B. It came with the tool, charger and a 5.0 battery for $350. Or you can get the tool only for $300... which is a bad deal. You'll never buy the charger and 5.0 battery for $50. Get the charger and battery even if you don't need them right now. By the way... real nice job on the ripper install... and I know you'll use it.

@@C_CEQUIPMENT yes sir they are a lot of work. He’s does it for a living and does very good at it. Does a ton of pipe liners, horse folks etc. amazing what they can do with all kinds of metals. With the new aluminum framed pickups a few years back they had to start paying attention to dissimilar metals to ensure, especially for welders, the current wouldn’t react and fuse metals or create issues!
