@@SallinKari That's possible, given the chemical knowledge of people at the time (still mainly focused on fire, air, earth & water). All I remember is that he was looking for the philosopher's stone to turn metals to gold, exactly what the guys were joking about! Hennig Brand was the guy, & he's credited as the first person to isolate an element not commonly found in nature.
