A few things from my analysis I feel I need to get ahead of lol...anyone can be hypercritcal, doesn't matter your zodiac sign, but if that's you, you need a partner who is not sensitive/not bothered by it also, I know feeling like you deserve love is about more than how you are perceived physically, but I still was surprised to hear A.D. say that she doesn't feel like she deserves to be loved and finally...there is no third thing but that's how you make lists so I tried to find something...anyway...Thanks for watching!

I would agree with your assessment on loving Clay’s honesty about having ego problems and fear of commitment if he was on the show “Iyanla Fix My Life”, but he’s on a show about instant marriage 😅 So instead it comes off as a warning that he hasn’t done the work, he’s not sure if he can handle what he signed up for, and he is just here for exposure. If this was a show about getting help for personality disorders, I would totally agree but he just shouldn’t have come on at all.

I wish Kenneth would've been honest about not being into Britney instead of icing her out. I think spending time with her on vacation made him realize he wasn't that into her. On a sidenote, his conversation with AD might have given him something to think about. But if he was truly in love with Britney, he wouldn't have been that concerned. I think he was just looking for an out. He ended up looking worse than if he were honest with her.

40:23 i understand where you're coming from, but lemme tell you. I completely resonate with AD here. I was so drawn to her bc i felt like we're v similar. Both darkskin, pretty in the face, curvy in the right places, even the way we carry ourselves is quite similar... she did cheerleading, i did handball and boxing, we're both aware of what we put into our bodies because my and her sports and career depend on it (no unnecessary calories etc). *TLDR; Male attention is not an issue for us -- its the TYPE of male attention that we attract that can lead to feelings of rejection and unworthiness. Especially if the common themes of 'interest' whatever that may be mostly revolve around our natural appearance. I gave some context about my experience with this too* When it comes to male attention we don't struggle with it. In terms of pretty privilege i do feel like i've benefited from it -- i've had free drinks often, men often being very quick to help me compared to other women around me, many of them naturally start conversation with me rather than the other way around, some even have their eyebrows raised when i 'acknowledge' them as two guys put it before. I can't fully speak for her, but for me i knew It's the TYPE of male attention I tend to attract. I started feeling depressed about not being good enough for men once i've realised that I was always the 'situationship'/ FWB. They were so quick to express interest in me but at first I found it hard to differentiate between physical/sexual interest and emotional interest. 9.5 times outta 10 its sexual. Not to say that other girls don't go through the same thing, but to be constantly hearing that I'm this and that and still picked for the night and not for their lives... it hurts. I would see one of the guys that i had genuine interest in/ had talking stage with not get with me but a girl that's lighter skinned than me w none of the features he 'claimed' to be attracted to (lips, body etc). Not that its a problem she doesnt have them, more so it started to negatively affect the way i viewed myself. I knew I'm hot, i see the double take men do -- but i started feeling like I wasn't what they'd want to marry... to have on their arm if i were to bluntly put it. Because maybe I was too curvy, maybe it's because my dark skin didn't fit in the standard society has deemed that you've 'won' in the dating pool. 40:40 I know that I should go where I'm loved, that's what lead me to date my ex. Someone who was not ready for a relationship as he had his own insecurities he had to learn how to cope with them a healthy way: I wasn't physically attracted to him but his personality and it grew from there -- I wanted this because I thought my regular physical type wasn't working... I felt like I had to make this work to prove to myself it _was_ because I would always choose to talk someone based off if I found them attractive and not give them a chance if they wasn't to me. He would see how guys make eyes at me, and take it out on me. He would slowly chip and my self esteem: accusing (yes accusing) me of gaining weight when he was the same one getting mad at me for not wanting to eat a whole cake w him in one sitting or eat cereal/ pastries or biscuits all day every day or skip lectures to sleep in every day!!! When i expressed my concerns it was my fault for being too sensitive. I stayed with him a little longer, because I wanted this to work. He was taking out his insecurities on me -- I broke up with him after he crossed one of my no-compromise boundaries. So I say all that because those were some of my experiences that lead me to feel like I won't find genuine love, and at one point like AD feel like I wasn't deserving because I wasn't anyone's "ideal". I know I have to kiss a couple frogs on the way, but it really exhausting mentally and emotionally when it's the same pattern different font. It makes a process like Love is Blind very appealing to me -- to remove the physical aspect and be led by lust and filter out to the men who's intentions are most likely more pure. So yes, male attention not an issue but I can't help but wonder if I could attract guys with the mindset of building something long term and genuine if my looks were different... Regardless, I worked hard for my body, my mindset, self esteem and my career. I'll keep on developing, learning and hope that I find a man who values my worth as much as i want to treasure his.

I get respecting Clay because he is seemingly honest about his character and personality. HOWEVER, that's still an incomplete wheel to me because knowing you're a trash person and not actively doing anything about it to be a better person to love someone in a healthy way is a huge red flag to me. I'm realizing that this is a different form of manipulation for some abusers so they get to say "well I told you who I was" because they say this while feigning regret of wrongdoing to a person. I just have follow-up questions - what are you doing to help you NOT be that person? But I get that because we barely get that from a lot of men that a man being "honest" gets given trophy points

The empathy you have for the cast is refreshing. I do see them as people that do their best but like they have cameras on them, so everything is heightened. @thatqueenG10 ай бұрын
clay definitely didn't do right by AD but it's really refreshing to hear commentary that isn't constantly bashing every aspect of him. Understandably, I think people see him as a representation of all the shitty guys they've talked to, dated, been in a relationship with, and are talking from such visceral disgust and bitterness that some are way too quick to act like it's a bad thing or an "ick" to be vulnerable about family dynamics that have shaped his perception on relationships, and how he's a "work in progress". He should NEVER have led AD on like that and agreed to this show to begin with, but people need to reflect inwards if they really think men showing a hint of vulnerability is gross or something

Will he? Almost certainly if they get married. I have a relative who had a similar experience with his father and he never wants to repeat his mistakes so he's very much a lone wolf. A lot of the holdouts with Beyoncé came on over to the hive after Beychella but people were still saying she’s a great performer more so than someone who made great music. Now she’s releasing music with no iconic video or visuals to associate with it so we are forced to acknowledge the music on its own is great. I look forward to getting some visuals again but I’m not holding my breath. I’m enjoying the music and trusting the overall vision.

I was so shocked and sad abt the way AD was being sexually harassed in DR and just generally people always putting her body first 😢. Clay telling her not to gain weight ever, whatshisface commenting on her butt, the beandip thing, the first words as she is walking down the aisle being "okay body". Especially when the point of the show is supposed to be to not focus on the physical it's like she can't catch a break.

Good content.... funny how you called the men Jimmy Johnny instead of making a note of it.😂😂😂
