Immature people, those that show outward superiority to hide deep inferiority complexes...even Teachers in Junior school (age 7-10) had issues with me, i was never rude...never outwardly rebellious, but i always knew bullshit, always knew more than my years ....i was bullied by everyone, my Mother included...i don't wear masks...that freaks most out...xxx

LOL. Nailed it. "Why don't people just leave me alone if they don't like me?" I work with and OCPD/NPD guy and it is like he is constantly trying to force codependence on EVERYONE, when everyone's biggest stress in the office is the OCPD guy never leaving anyone alone. The OCPD guy relentlessly interferes with the most productive people, and then the productive people become "helpers" in the OCPD guy's very slow, backwards process. OCPD is like the opposite of a superpower. Instead of having the "Strength of TEN MEN" an OCPD person takes the strength of ten people and clamps down on them to where they are limited to helping one person try to do ten jobs... and it does not work.

It is WILD how people respond to me. I happen to work with another INFJ (lucky I know) and we both know how kind and pure our motivations always but really we mind our own business most of the time, humming and doing our work. The worst kinds of people just can’t resist the temptation to try and get a rise from us… only to leave shocked, tail tucked between their legs.😂

For my charisma I think many people are instantly drawned to me and also being an INFJ I have an open canvas that I can draw whatever they wish to see or like. On the contrary I always find difficulties with people who try to control me. I AM A BIRD and LET ME FLY.

Bullies used to bother me when I was a kid. Now that I'm older, I just feel bored by bullies. Sadly, even not reacting to bullies seems to not stop them from bullying. The bullies I've known don't leave me alone until I given them an angry reaction.

Thank you Wenzes. Is it a coincidence that these are the type of people I can't stand? I don't care if they can't stand me, they're doing me a favour if they stay away. I'm trying my best to be brutally honest, but I still don't want to hurt peoples feelings. I tried the "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all" route, but then I have NOTHING to say to a lot of people. So much so that I think it might be me with the problems. Oh well, really care less and less every day.

if you observe them more thoroughly you can tell that those people that can't stand us are really the problem/problematic ones, our only problem is we're the type to be a bit of a challenge for them that they seem to want to conquer for egotistical reasons, like Fr if they don't exist things would be more at peace

I gonna say not letting these kinds of people bother us as INFJs is the key to building self-esteem. I can't tell you how many times I let these jerks cause me to lose my cool and then they skip off whistling a happy tune and I feel bad about myself for days, weeks, and even months. Especially with the narcissists who get narc. supply from triggering negative reactions in their victims. Now that I stay away from them, I've broken free of that cycle of control where they trigger me at will and I feel like a dirty doormat because I once again let them wipe their feet on me. P.S. Conflicts with the primary relationships with narcissist (all gone now) caused me to be disregulated for a full 18 months (INFJ recognize patterns). Seriously it takes me a full 18 months to feel like myself again - not ruminating or feeling that buzzing sense of discomfort from residual negative emotions, not getting re-triggered by stuff. When I'm in that state, I can't even watch movies about negative stuff, even when I know the movie has a happy ending. Now things don't bother me, my lows aren't nearly as low, and I bounce back from setbacks so much quicker. And that's what really makes people feel confident in the world - the recognition that we can handle, and handle well, whatever the world throws at us.

I have a hard time discerning the difference between friendly banter and shrewd, crossing the line behavior aka bullying
@emilyjoyce8082
@emilyjoyce8082 4 ай бұрын
I feel like if it’s a joke you can make and laugh about yourself, then it is friendly banter. If it bothers me, I try to do better about expressing it. If they are caring and understanding, it’s resolved. If they shut down my concerns, I constitute it as bullying. A joke is only funny if people laugh or find it humorous.

I remember very well a situation and a wrong decision of mine, which really made me learn the lesson of giving a damn about Bullies: When I was in my Master Studies, my best friend, who was studying with me, one night wrote me and asked me on behalf of the whole Master Student Semester of around 15 people to "try to be more calm and stepp back in front of the class" like.... Becoming invisible and less disturbing. The thing was, I never did anything offensive, aggressive or loud or something. I was always a friendly, polite, but little bit dream and quircky human being. It hit me so hard that I didn't had his back and so I decided to do as He said, because I thought "Maybe He is right, I mean... He is my best friend." This was such a bad mistake, because after they realize that it worked, they started to bully me even more and more and I suddenly (because I didn't wanted to get in trouble) was absolutely helpless. I will never ever do that again.... And I really wished I would have taken the courage to tell everyone the next day that I won't reduce myself for their good. All they wanted was to get me away from the PhDs and Professors^^"

I recently have been doing things that make me feel good like improv comedy and Jiu Jitsu. Hanging out with new people, I can immediately see who thinks I’m ‘too much’, who is uncomfortable with my perception of myself and placement in the ‘hierarchy’. Some have tried to humble me or make me question myself and with my new found INFJ knowledge I steer clear of them and just talk to the people who are more accepting of me
@borndeafin1ear
@borndeafin1ear 4 ай бұрын
Bullies were never really an issue for this INFJ. Some started to try, but they didn't know how to react when I never did - or cared enough. One thing I've noticed was how I tell peers seeking help in a professional setting that my response to a question will be as specific as the question. Some will be more engaged after that, but some will pull away. The intent is to maximize their potential while maintaining the responsibility for the content on them and not me. It's not my job to do their job. I'm just there to help them past a hurdle. Being more specific than the question can also lead them down the wrong path, so it is best all around. What is frustrating is how others are more general than my specific question when I need assistance. Usually they quote what I already know - not helpful.

You have to accept your wounded inner self, before you can accept others. INFJS simply have a very difficult time doing this. Especially since they are personal feeling averse, and would rather door slam their inner selves rather than confront their own woundedness.

The social climber is the one I have had most issues with . Who end up bullying. I remember I was bullied so much growing up that I ended up bullying my sister and taking it out on her. . I felt awful as I grew older and apologized. Growing up as a kid is difficult and especially if you don’t fit in or are different. But what really is a head scratcher to me is I still have a few grade school people trying to bully me just as they did when we were kids. Full grown adults. It’s almost comical. Baffles me.

~7.55 into feed. I had a lazy supervisor who was used to playing the game and relied on being respected because he had influence in the game. There was an upset because he was not doing his job properly and a tension that I was doing some parts better. In front of the whole office he said "You should respect me, because I am your supervisor." My reply "I will comply because you are my supervisor and will implement all lawful reasonable commands. But respect is earned. Just because you are my boss, does not make me respect you." He blustered along the lines of "you have to respect me because I am your boss". My reply was along the lines of "I have to comply with you because you are my boss. If you want me to respect you, do your job and do your job properly. I will do what is necessary because it is in the job description, but I do not have to respect you if you are lazy or manipulative."

The bully in my life was my father. I was a constant reminder of my mother and he hated her for what she lied about him, it literally almost destroyed him inside. When he regained custody of us kids I was the age when they first met. I am still a INFJ, but after helping your loved ones and figuring them out eventually changes who you offer your traits to. Human behavior is the key to answering all of the questions that were or are unknown at the time being. Pound out google and unwrap why you have this trait. You will unravel the truth to why you are the way you are.👍🏻👈🏻

Once a long time ago a kid stole my property in elmentart school by telling the other adults I stole it from him, and no matter how much I tried to proove that I was innocent they just confinscated it and gave it to the bully. Later that day he laughed in my face and said he did it just because he could. 6m laterIpushed himdown severalflights of stairs and watchedhimsuffer. That is when I realized the punishment wasnt worth the crime. To this day i remember it like it was yesterday.... 40 years ago.

Lovely video with great insights! Thanks Wenzes 🙂 Does any INFJ not see themselves as co-dependent? I personally am hyper independent so the codependency aspect does not resonate at all. My belief is that; as unique thinkers and innovators with abstract perceptions, we are independent in our thoughts and a actions. We create our own reality in spite of the societal expectations around us. What does anyone think about this?

"We attract people who don't like us" probably the covert narcissism, superiority complex, and sense of being special ("I'm so rare!"). At least Wenzes is making a profit off that, though.
@luckyxxxxk
@luckyxxxxk 4 ай бұрын
This sounds like a hint of insecurity and jealousy. And this statement is contradicting bc ppl do not gravitate towards covert narcissists any personality type could be this (mostly want to be liked bc of their fragile ego) superiority complex (ppl who are social climbers and self centered) in regards to the sense of being special” should you not see yourself as special?? You do you knw you can view yourself like that as well. Plus that doesn’t make sense for an infj bc we would rather isolate ourselves than be on the front lines shouting I’m so rare. Your comment just comes off as being a hater for no reason what so ever.

Narcissist are probably the most codependent people in the world. You might be surprised at just how many narcissists are INFJS. BECAUSE INFJS are subject to a need for external validation, bc they cannot find it in themselves. Therefore requiring external supply. SIDENOTE: incidentally, unreconciled cptsd is a key factor in NPD development
