Dame currently is widely considered to a either top 15 or top 10 in the league. I would say definitely top 10, but due to the trailblazers being bad last season and him missing much of the 21-22 season he is underrated. He has spent his whole career with the Portland Trailblazers until now. He was admired for his loyalty to Portland, even though they didn't have much playoff success due to being in a stacked western conference. As a player he one of the best guards in the league, being one of the best pick and roll players, an insane shot creator and clutch shot maker, and being the second best shooter in the league. He always been considered second fiddle to Stephen Curry even though I would say he was just as good some years(not as a shooter) as Curry, but never being on a good enough team to get that recognition.

The most well-known aspect of Lillard’s game is his clutchness, which is where the phrase “Dame Time” comes from. In the last few minutes of close games, he is known to absolutely take over and score the last 10-15 points for his team. He has so many crazy clutch shots and game winners.

@@scottm.6700 first of that’s subjective and second off, being better means nothing. Talent only gets u so far in a sport based on who wins and who doesn’t. Tmac is also better than a lot of guys. So is grant hill. So is Yao Ming. So is Derrick rose. So is Gilbert arenas. So is pg and a lot of todays guys. But what did they accomplish in their time in comparison to those other guys on their times? There’s absolutely no reason,m for dame to be there but artis Gilmore, Ben Wallace, Dwight Howard, Sidney moncrief, and serval other hof players who simply accomplished more as a player aren’t.

Dame is easily one of, if not the best scorer in clutch time for the past 10 years or so. All it takes is 1 shot to go in for him to get in his rhythm, and once he does hes damn near impossible to guard/stop. Currently hes a top 3 pg in the league easily, and without a doubt a top 10 player. Not only is his 3pt shooting and range insane, he always keeps very calm & composed, and a very underrated part of his game is his ability to draw fouls. There arent many people on this earth that can do what he does!

He's been a top 3 point guard in the league for a while now along with Curry and Westbrook (who's now not in his prime anymore). Unfortunately, Portland was never good at building around him, so he hasn't had much playoff success, and a lot of people say he's in Curry's shadow, as they both are the two best shooters of all time, but Steph has 4 rings with the Warriors. The great thing about dame is he was never highly regarded out of high school, so he went to Weber State. He was so good at this smaller program that he worked himself into the draft, then his workouts made him (I think) the #6 pick in the draft. The guy literally built himself into a superstar, because he's not really that big, but he's just an insane competitor. He and Giannis and Milwaukee could be very hard to deal with in the playoffs this year

Dame Time is a real thing, he is a clutch player who is been super loyal. He refused Portland for so long and wanted to make it work there. I wish they could have gotten him someone around him to make it work. Happy he has a real chance now to win something. In the last bit of the video was his 71 point game, he mentioned after if they had left the defensive plan that the rockets were going with to start the game he could have easily had 100 pts. But they started doubling him at half court the moment he touched it, he wanted to be a good teammate as well.

Lillard is great offensively, average defensively, but isnt gonna make many "greatest" lists quite yet because he was stuck in Portland and they were pretty pathetic his whole career. If he can win a few chips with Giannis in Milwaukee, ranking him will be interesting. He's always been around top 5 for best point guards currently in the league, but he's never been number 1. With Luka and Curry currently playing, idk if he'll ever have a chance to be #1 since he is 33 years old now. But he's also insanely clutch and he points at his wrist to celebrate because the end of the 4th quarter is called "Dame Time".

When a shot goes in without hitting the rim (I'll give Damo a minute to stop giggling) it has many different phrases such as "nothing but net" or just the simple sound that it makes "swish"....This is to show just how accurate your shot is because you're placing the ball in such a tight hole (pause) that many "school yard" shooting challenges to prove just how good of a shooter you are will have a requirement that a successful shot is one that only touches the bottom of the net. Since we're here, In many pickup Basketball games, an unspoken rule amongst us Basketball enthusiasts (even as young as 7 year olds) will claim that a Bank-Shot (Non-Layup shots that hit the Backboard before going in) will only count only if you call "Bank" before the ball makes contact with the Backboard....Bank-Shots that were unintentional are looked at as "cheap" and have a certain distain to them....Of course in a "Real" game none of this matters and the "Bank Is Open" 24/7 LUL

The pick swaps in 2028 and 2030(i believe is correct) will tell the full value of the trade. Portland has some nice young players to groom. In 5 years they will have many assets to help them...especially if Milwaukee is severely declining. They also did decent trading Jrue to Boston, so i think it's way too early to know if they fleeced themselves or not...one thing is certain- Milwaukee is all in for the next few years

For the last 10 years Steph has clearly been the best point guard in the league. The top 3 is usually filled out with 2 of Dame, Kyrie, or Westbrook. In my opinion Curry and Westbrook have been the two best PGs. Lillard is in the 3rd slot for me…he’s always had the talent, but never the team around him, so he’s been held back a lot of his career.
