Carragher’s takes have been spot on for years, and I find myself agreeing with him more than I care to admit 😂 he’s a good pundit in all fairness. Meanwhile, flashbacks like this usually expose Gary’s lack of insight into our issues, and the issues facing other clubs too.

100% Ange in... when the players are backing their manager in the current period of games that is an awesome sign

Who says they're backing him. They're not going to say their against his stupid tactics are they. Romero has started the ball rolling though.

Ange in all day, Levy a good owner though now we have the stadium and professional set up needs to focus on the team and spend

Absolutely spot on. To be able to sustainably challenge you need that strong financial base to support it. And that had to be set up by Levy without the benefit of oil money or silly Muricans. Look at what happened to Leeds 20 years ago to see how overextending can go horribly wrong. But now the finances are in place, the benefits have to be transferred to the playing squad.

Carragher was right 6 years ago , just as he was right the other night , levy is a blister on our club !
@AniconicArdenАй бұрын
Modern players are overpriced and oversensitive, that's another part of the problem, I understand Levy not forking out those wages, we can still win silver without paying for gold, give the manager more time and players.

We still need that backing tho

Stadium is built and the club has a strong financial portfolio. Time for ENIC to sell and for new ownership to take the sporting side of the club to the next level with properly allocated investment. Levy/ENIC has been cautious and risk-averse with their spending to the detriment of the club’s footballing success. As a business, Spurs is a well oiled machine with guaranteed revenue thanks to the stadium. It’s ready to sell. Ange in, give the man what he needs, and good times wouldn’t be far away.
@theADHDCarnivoreАй бұрын
Given results over the last 18 month, anyone buying Spurs is sacking Ange immediately and installing a proven top league winner to bring success. The only way Ange succeeds is to adapt his system and that is not going to happen
@Adaam252Ай бұрын
Carra was definitely right, as years have gone by we’ve seen how useless Neville’s analysis really is.
@epec20Ай бұрын
We weren't spending 6 years ago because of the stadium. So Carra was wrong. And in recent years we've spent more than city and Liverpool on some players. We've definitely invested, so he's wrong again there.
@simonfoxhall8604Ай бұрын
I'm Levy ambivalent. Brilliant decisions, and development, off-field. Pathetic decisions, and development, on-field. One thing for sure. Ange needs to be kept and supported with a budget that allows him to, further, continue the "painful rebuild"
@eldante4139Ай бұрын
What does it have to do with Levy that we can’t hold a two goal lead? It has a LOT to do with him. Why? Because the available squad right now needs a LOT of investment and improvement. We need to have game changers on the bench, not just in the first team. We need to have experience in the squad, not just keep signing young players for the future and then be shocked when we don’t have any game knowhow as to how to react to game situations on the pitch. He needs to step it up and deliver with key investment or admit that really he isn’t that bothered about us as a football club and that he sees us as only really a part of his investment portfolio with ENIC; a business and nothing more than that.

I’m Ange 100% but doesn’t mean I’m some sort of ‘happy clapper’ Ange deserves criticism but let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water. Ange needs to be backed in January and Ange needs to make tweeks in how he sets up. You can still play gorgeous football without leaving you back exposed. Chelsea are better than us. Maybe not player for player. But team wise they are better drilled. Top 4 hasn’t been lost. But Ange needs to mix it up
@frankodonnell5247Ай бұрын
One thing has changed, I think Gary now agrees 🤔 I think we’ll be back here in another six years if the owners are still the same 🥲

The Ange out people basically want the club to be playing like the bottom 6 sides. The quality of the squad is poor compared to what is needed to challenge.
@Just_an_Azn_guyАй бұрын
The bench mark is Manchester City, put our squad next to theirs. Are we closing the gap? Is our squad depth close to them? If no then we nowhere near completing for anything because we need to be at the stage of beating the top teams regularly. The squad has to improve and depth is needed. We have inconsistency because we have inconsistent players and lack of depth. When i say lack of depth i mean we don't have enough quality players where we sub one player out for another and the overall team quality dips. Saying that if we get some players back and our best, we can win something this season. Next 2 games, we can win. Get some momentum for the United at home. Get some reinforcements in January if the board and Levy are serious about winning something. I personally i support Ange and the players every game. But i knew by watching a lot of team sports. You need to pay for success, have the top payroll and top players.
@alshermondАй бұрын
What happens on the pitch has everything to do with the owner. The roster is what it is because they don't care about winning.
@Munirs1998Ай бұрын
Truth hurts...Spurs are a ell run club, financially, but with limited ambitions of a CL place which is now again untenable. All downto one person: the owner.
