Definitely infatuated with this one, perhaps it'll be a post Xmas trigger pull. The one stylistic thing I love and has me laughing too is the '51 PBass control plate, I think its hilarious and fantastic. The whole thing is pretty close to a Joan Jett machine, which I also love.

I have already sold off this guitar. To fund other guitars for the channel. It came to me from Amazon with a crown in the neck. Truss rod was too tight. But once I adjusted the truss rod. This thing played nice... I remember having fun with this guitar.

I bought mine mid March, got the pink one. I love the shade of pink it is, and was very surprised how well it played. They had and still do, a coupon you can click on and get $20 off. Hard to find a better deal than $149 after coupon, plus tax with free shipping for this guitar. The intonation on mine was set well, finish was great, I've seen some reviews though that were not so positive. They now have a single cut LP style and hope to soon find a review on those.

The one I received had a backbow in the neck which made some of the notes non - playable.... But all I did was do a quick truss rod adjustment and all issues.... Disappeared... The fit-and-finish on mine was great... I also really love the sound of that p90 pickup. As far as the singlecut I believe they call that the Helios.... Yeah I thought about getting one of those for a review... Thanks for telling us about your guitar ... As a group will get a consensus of this guitar ....good .... Bad.... so far I've heard mostly positive things about it!

I've always adjusted the neck to perfectly flat before checking frets with a fret rocker. It makes sense you'd find bad frets at the point of where the back bow starts.

The fret rocker is only checking 2 .5 inches at the biggest location... up next to the nut. In the center of the neck its only spanning 1.25 inches maybe... So really does it matter. You would have to have a lot of back bow ..... In the case of relief, it gets even bigger as the fret between the two fret is bowing away from the rocker... But as I said the rocker is only check a small distance . . . It will tell you problem areas on the neck. I have had guitars where the rock tells me every fret is 100% right on... But if you look down the neck you can see the relief is almost 1/8 inch... When I do setups, I check everything with the neck as straight as I can get it. Then add relief if the customer likes it. Just how I do it... The only way to really check for 100% perfect frets.... Is a straight edge with feeler gages under the straight edge gage to the frets. But no one does this. Great review.! I bought a DC in July. I also had to make a small truss rod adjustment to do a little relief and then added a dogear shim to raise the pickup a bit. Great guitar for the money! I am so happy with the DC I am thinking about buying a Helios model.

This Guitar was so good after making the truss rod adjustment. This was the best guitar out of the box doing the first Fretted notes with a Standard Nut at the top. I just posted a new review of a headless guitar using a ZERO Fret design. It has now taken FIRST place on out of the box first fretted notes. But its a Zero fret... not a bone nut type. So, this WestCreek is still the best out of the box guitar that I have tested and reviewed. Ohhhhh . . . I was just eyeing the WestCreek Helios ... there a coupon right now on it as well.. Which makes is a even better deal for me as far as reviews. For me I have to buy it ... Review it . . . Then I go back and do some tweaking and fixing on it and find it a new home. Some guitars I review require a lot of work before I can resale them. As long as I can keep rolling over the money to buy the next one ... it works for me. My Problem is guitars like this one . . . You buy it to review it and you want to keep it.... LOL it is one of those guitars that has its own tone and feel. It makes ya want to play !

Cool vid, and cool guitar. I subbed you. I picked up one of these a couple weeks ago. Used the coupon, and I think I got it for $139. Pretty darn good deal for this guitar. Same color as yours - the white one. Mine came in..... pretty much a Train Wreck! LOL Fit and finish was fine. But the string action was so low.... it was un-playable. Strings just about laying on the frets, all open. No notes. And it was just about impossible to fret a note. Maybe a few of the strings you could make a note or two. But mostly.... Not. Completely unplayable. It had a back-bow in it - same as yours. I did a MASSIVE Truss Rod adjustment (the other way).... and then I raised the bridge up a tad. And that did the trick. All notes playable. Fretting is now OK. Chords pretty well. I like the guitar. It's Rock N' Roll looking, and pretty cool. My only big gripe is that the neck on this thing is wide. I mean.... really wide. A bit chunky too. But mostly wide! It's not the easiest guitar to play. Then again... you won't be picking this one up to shred on. It's a rhythm player, and it will do fine for blues and rock rhythms. Maybe even a little Jazz. Oh - the guitar is super noisy too. A TON of 60-Cycle him on mine. I own a lot of guitars, and this is by far the loudest (hum) in the collection. If I can find time and get motivated enough, maybe I open it up and shield the electronics cavity. Check it out. Whatever. I dunno. This one won't get much action anyway. I dig it. It's cool. But it's just not a player.

Looks like a very good guitar for less than $200! I am curious, did you check the specs on the pickup? I.e. did you measure the inductance and millivolts?

I did not check . . . . I know some people like to see the readings on the pickups. I do want to have the most Info on each review. If you look at my first guitar review, I didn't do as much. I'm still trying to find my standing or sweet spot here on You Tube. I want to cover the box "if it's a unboxing" overall fit and finish, Factory Setup, Elect / Wiring and the playability. Once I get my footing and get a system down, we may be able to add that part. Keep in mind most people don't want an hour and a half guitar review. I'M ALL FOR IT !!! but need more people saying that they want the SUPER REVIEW. Thanks for your input on all the video's

Man I just saw a Westrcreek Explorer shaped guitar for like $250 bucks. It's got a set neck, some purple flamey maple finish (I'm sure it's a veneer), and the other specs I can't remember. It's cheaper than the Firefly Explorer FFLX I think those run around $350 bucks. I'll have to see if I can find it I think I bookmarked it.

Looks like a very chunky neck on these guitars,is it a comfortable chunk, or does it tire your hand out when playing,thanks for the video.

I thought the neck was very comfortable..... It definitely doesn't have the Gibson 50s... Chunk... Probably like the early to mid-60s Gibson. Would be the best description. The guitar is definitely not a porker at all.... It's on the lighter side very comfortable.

I got this one too. It's really cool. Came in with some issues - some of the same issues he had with this one. I did a MASSIVE Truss Rod Adjustment, and then even raised the bridge up a tad... and that took care of it. Plays clean now. Little to no buzz. I played with the saddles too, as I had a couple "width" issues between strings. Got that sorted out, and they are all uniform now, and where they are supposed to be. So basic stuff. No big deal. I like the guitar. But I will say this - to answer your question: The neck is wide. It's chunky too. But the main issue for me is the width of the thing. It's not a player. I want it to be! LOL Love the P-90 and the looks. But it's just not a player. The neck is uncomfortable to me when I'm chording. I mean... it's not a shredder. No one would pick it up to do that. It's a rhythm guitar all day long. And it will do that. But unless you've got pretty big hands.... not a comfortable player.
