I don't really have much memories of the area before they built the shopping center as it stands, but I do recall it being mostly field and some houses along the side (and a restaurant or two like Big Boy). I have slightly better memories of Alexis Park when it was 'Greenwood Mall", especially on the occasion in '86 when I saw a double feature of Back to the Future and E.T. at a cinema there.

There used to be a Par-3 golf course in the acreage just behind the frontage on Alexis (behind the Big Boy and such)

Do you happen to recall a Bill Knapp's restaurant at Northtown Commons?

@@hodjpodj3958 Yes I do. It didn't stick around too long. I think the area became a Kroger gas station today.

@@brandonxavier9877 Funny I don't recall a golf course back there, just field. A Putt-Putt golf course was however down near North Towne Square (now a Par 2).

All gone after White flight killed those few Toledo Area Malls. Such a shame that the shopping experience went backwards. Never liked old ways to shop like Fallen Timbers & Levis Commons. Too Hot or Too cold to walk from one store to next.

The use of "lifestyle centers" seems a overdone to me as I still prefer enclosed malls than outdoor places.
