I always appreciate the artists and their music on this channel- but man, it absolutely benefits a guy like Charlie to play in this format. There's something in the simplicity of it- just vocals and a 6-string really make the song pop (especially compared to the studio versions). That goes for a lot of the artists on this channel/Gems- I'm surprised more artists in the genre don't release songs in this format on their albums- it seems like that's what most folks are looking for

People should check out Charley Crockett's Field Recordings album. It's definitely more lo-fi than this, but it's mostly him and his guitar, and it's got 30 songs on it. I love his more polished stuff, but he really shines on this.
