Great stuff Sam and Mon. Love the variety on the fish. I've never smoked fish but I should probably try it some time! Well done on dodging the swimmers and making the bar crossing too, looked like fun! Stay safe out there 🦈

@WetMammal it's just starting to cool down now and turn to diving/camping season up here now 😇 I've personally only stayed away from smoked meats of all kinds because of the apparent carcinogenic risks that it can supposedly create through the smoke. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd love it! Have you looked much into it and have an opinion? 🤷♂️

Cool vid mate. Have you tried the slimey mackerel as Sashimi ? Highly recommend trying it if you haven't, the colour of meat is incredible when super fresh

people would catch loads of mackeral off the piers in California. Nobody ate it. And when I say nobody I mean nobody. I finally tried it one day and I was like WTF this is good. So people found out I liked mackeral on these piers we’d go to and I kid younot I had to turn it down people would give me so much. Idk why nobody eats it I absolutely love it and supposedly it’s very good for you. I think all the “this fish is for eating and this one isn’t” is programmed by big food myself.

You would be amazed at how many people just wont touch certain fish because other peoples opinions and yet theyve never tried it themselves either. You might be right there! Its really common for fish that are hard to catch commercially are often peddled as being parasite ridden or poor eating.
