I fallow your journey for about 3 years, you were working hard to get where you are now - “Dream it possible”, bro that humpback was glorious, I would probably flood mask with tears 😂 When you anchor your jet ski, tie some fishing line to your toe or maybe safer to your tent, if it drifts away you will definitely wake up and be able to get to it, also hide GPS tracker somewhere, they are not too expensive this days.

I think im going to give it a try a few people have suggested it now, ill find out next weekend! I have an inflatable I can usually roll it up on the beach. It has its problems too though. There’s no perfect system. I often think how uncomfy I’d be as I sleep though when the wind comes up at night if my boat was on the water

I think I'd be running a huge long rope from the ski to a tree. I felt the same when I anchored my boat the first time and I had 2 anchors down.

Getting up close and personal with the whale... Just amazing! Why don't you grab a spare rope from the ski to land? So you don't have to worry about it floating away. You could use just a thin line that would only let you know when it's saying goodbyes.

Im watching in Brisbane, I have my ski set up for spearing. And i feel your anchor anxiety, especially when I swim away from it offshore, solo. Wondering what you use? A huge anchor and chain is pretty hard to pull up from a ski lol

Broo the struggle is real hey, ive added an additional 4m of chain to my set up and now its solid. Sure its an arm work out but thats the price to pay for confidence in the anchor ⚓️

I saw a something like 300m away from where i was camped. I had dove the exact spot the day before and it was always the plan to hop in for breakfast. We have mussels in California and I know for a fact they are safe to eat because I’ve known Mexican fisherman who eat them year round. Yet, we are discouraged from eating them. I believe it’s a campaign to keep you in grocery stores. But whatever I won’t get too conspiratorial
