It is imperative to understand that nobody here has the credentials to call anyone a Grade A narcissist and I don't even think you know what it means. THE JETS put all of the attention on him. THE MEDIA has put all of the attention on him. What has Rodgers actually done to put media attention on himself? Not take some stupid vaccine? Get pissed off at an organization because they drafted his replacement too early? The Jets hiring his former OC to lure him to the team? Giving him the keys to the castle the minute he arrived? This is what is known as deflection. The Jets, their fanbase and every moron in this comments section is deflecting all of their shortcomings and mistakes because they can't handle the fact that Rodgers never sold himself as some savior, THE JETS and THE MEDIA sold him as a savior. So that would make the Jets, the media and the fans the real narcissists because they want instant results and didn't get it with Rodgers so they'll go back to ruining young QBs again since they've been doing that for the past 15 years.

They are middle of the pack passing yards but bottom 10 total yards and points, you look at him like you look at Flaco. Next year everything is guaranteed and no new money, it cost them nothing to bring him back. You bring in Drew Lock to tank as the starter with Rogers on the bench is kind of obvious tanking. It is a trade friendly contract considering all the teams next year giving up on their 2024 starters, an under $4M 1 year starter who will put butts in the seats, he is the best Dalton/Flaco/etc available next year, the team owes nothing the following year, most of the teams with 4 or more years have a QB for at least next year. There are 10 teams that would draft a QB if they had the #1 pick, including Dallas, Seattle, Tampa if they ended up that bad, but most like the Jets would prefer to tank rather than have Rogers there to win 6 games. As far as fans and ticket sales goes what is the difference between 2 and 6 wins, where 3 of the 6 wins were against teams with fewer than 6 win, unless you enjoy games between 2 teams 4 games below 500, they are both unwatchable.

Whoever the Jets owner hires next as a head coach, the decision on whether he comes back should be with the new coach. Although Rodgers is old, he can still play. I think his major issue is I don’t think he coachable which undermines the head coach. I think the Jets are in a similar situation the Broncos faced last season. Wilson did not fit Sean’s offense and the coach wanted to move on from him. The new ownership group empowered the coach to move on from Russ and draft Bo. Cutting Russ also allowed him to find a new team to restart his career without trading any capital to weaken his new team. I think the problem the Jets may face is this isn’t a strong quarterback draft and they may not have enough picks to trade the top quarterbacks in the draft.
@crater04423 сағат бұрын
I think Rodgers IS coachable. He never had any issues with LaFleur......both of them have confirmed this. McCarthy was on his way out the door in GB anyway. The reason why people think he is uncoachable is because of Saleh's firing but why are people blaming that on Rodgers when the owner fired him and everybody wanted Saleh fired last season anyway? Just find an HC that can work with Rodgers and it should be better. Rodgers isn't the problem. He's not playing terrible. He's just not putting up the MVP numbers that he used to so everybody thinks he sucks now when he's still better than a majority of the QBs in the league.
@r.williamcomm7693Күн бұрын
It takes 2-3 seasons to install a new offense where no player gets in the field wothiut knowing exactly whatbto do on each play. Rodgers is okder but he knows what jes doing. He's just constantly in situations where the plays are breaking down.

That’s not inherently true. The Texans and Commanders turned crap offenses into good offenses in 1 offseason. 2-3 seasons is sometimes true, but saying it takes that long is sometimes just an excuse to justify crappy offenses
