The gardens will be very pleased with this vlog, great advertisement. I used to go there lots before it was so developed, used to be able to walk your dog there but not anymore, but hey ho it is a great place, and the cafe is excellent.

i used to live on Russel road, me my brother and father would go down to the quarry before any of those buildings or gardens in 1996 and go find heaps of old bottles in the dirt, the only thing there at the time was the road in and those big concrete channel ways, we helped clean it up and make it a little local hang out for the kids in the area before all the restoration into what it is today hahaha

Did you perhaps try the honey in NZ it’s believed to be the most expensive honey in the world, because of a particular flower/ plant that only grows there

First and foremost " MANUKA" is the maori name for this plant" who are the indigenous people of aotearoa NZ, this plant or bush can only be found in nz and Australia but the honey production side of it is very much NZ, Manuka plants weather and the hearty NZ bees are the winners, nz is the biggest exporters and loved worldwide, due to its uniqueness, taste and all the health benefits that come with it, ranked a super food by the experts, NZ Manuka honey has proven to be the best tasting honey on the market so therefore a hefty price tag in toe (expensive) but so worth it, treat yourself I say cheers✌️👍🙋

If you get to Hamilton, make sure you see their botanical gardens, very different to the usual type gardens, and free, or donation. Easily a great day out, simply fantastic.

They are bringing in a charge for the themed gardens but will be worth it, my favorites are the Indian char bagh, Italian Renaissance and Japanese gardens, but the newer ones are amazing too. Allow lots of time to explore these amazing gardens

Have you done Mangawhai Heads and Waipu Cove yet? My wife and I lived in One Tree Point (near the Beautiful Ruakaka beach) for 2.5 years before moving to Torbay. Also 2 Saffas 😊
