I have been to both Nigeria and South Africa. SA rules and cost of living, standard of living, plus weather make SA superior. Nigeria, Lagos particularly, have electricity supply issues...seeing power maybe 1-2 days a week for maximum of 8 hours.....and everything is frustrating. You get stopped by police and officials everywhere wanting bribes for nothing. Fuel shortages a few times a year see people lined up for fuel for as much as 10 hours. Traffic is a nightmare. Beautiful and positive content always! Never disappointed. Felt like shedding light on Cape Town seeing a few folks saying it’s better in terms of property,( of which you still have to visit the city it’s beautiful). But however having had to live in both cities CPT and Jhb. Joburg wins for me reasons being...CPT is the best with properties that have great views, I mean your Constantia, Durbanville etc have wine farm views, then sea point, camps bay Blouberg give beach/sea & Mountain View’s etc I can go on cause I moved so much...however in terms of property itself as an all rounder like, standard suburban home, apartments, & mansions, CPT loses in the apartment & house part, they expensive for little space and for some reasons landlords hate renovating them, it’s like old fashion rules, And rather slow in being modern unless it’s a total new block. But space! Space! Space! Is terrible at most. And looking for a property doesn’t matter your paper (ka-ching 💵 ), is a total nightmare for a black person. Agents surely keep a tight leash on who enters a neighborhood and don’t matter how desperate they are to let/sell the property. I’m speaking from first hand experience.
