Well, last year taught me a lot! There were some major changes in my life which of course made an impact on me. Firstly, I learnt that people who makes you sad aren't worth having in your life, no matter who they are. Secondly, you should always follow your instinct. If something feels good in your stomach then go for it, because it's usually the right thing to do. And lastly, don't take things too seriously. As you said in your video, things will work out in the end. The most important thing is to do what makes you happy, not please everybody else. Happy 2014! :))

Katy, first off I think you're pretty amazing! I love your videos and I look up to you, even though we're the same age. It's pretty sweet seeing you talk a little bit about your faith and being open to people but not shoving it down their throats like some Christians. My year has been almost identical to yours in the sense that being single is okay, God playing a huge role in my life, and finding that my family is my best friends. Some of my friends have come and gone and I'm gonna lie, this year has been rough in some spots but I have learned SO much. College is coming up and ive finally told myself that whatever happens is in His plan and I will make the best of it. It's funny because I always watch your videos and think of you as a celebrity almost and videos like these bring it back to reality that you're so down to earth and seeing the similarities in our lives makes me remember that you're my age and how much we're alike. 2013 has taught me that life isn't going to grant me all my wishes, I will actually have to put some work and commitment, which I tend to lack at times in order to achieve my goals instead of waiting for them to fall into my lap like everything else. I also came to a kind of late realization that I need to speak Spanish more, not everyone is granted the blessing of knowing two languages fluently so I definitely need to speak the beautiful language more. Also, If I want to lose weight and be healthier I need to stop wishing for it meanwhile eating a cup of Ramen noodles and workout which ties into the first lesson of 2013! btw I love your talking/advice videos, thoughts are always well organized and comprehendable.

Hi Katy! What are your thoughts on lipstick made out of crayons? If you don't know about it, you can basically make creme finish/high-pigment lip colors out of a Crayola crayon!!
