One thing that may help with the aquarium would be to put a plain background on the side glass. I have a similar situation. I used a very light construction paper on the side glass. It's undetectable from all angles looking into the aquarium, and it at least blocks the light from coming into the side glass. 🐟 🐠 😀

Try checking thrift stores for bar carts or build one. Repurpose that TV stand by sanding it down, adding a different color, and adding some wheels on the bottom - now you’ll have an entire bar area (unless you want a simple metal cart). You can make it a project and use it for content.

Long time reef tank owner (25 years). It's a labor of love. My largest tank was a 200 gallon. You are right, there are tons of different approaches and many work. I always tell people getting into the hobby, triple whatever you think your budget is.

We bought that same handheld Shark vacuum a few months ago. It's the best handheld yet. I love it. Especially with the kids constantly making a mess. Quick and easy clean up. We've had two different Dirt Devils previously and they don't even come close. Definitely one of our favorite little household accessories just behind the air fryer.

Snake plants are so easy to maintain! I wish I could type out everything to do with indoor plants but monsteras (the swiss cheese looking ones) they are very easy to maintain indoors too. Mine have been alive inside my Pennsylvania house for years! You got this bianca!

I wish I could describe what I’m seeing in my head but what if you push the couch and the tv down by the 3 window wall. It would be how you have it now just shifted down. That way you could put the table where it was “supposed” to be. I think the way you have it now works too tho. Can’t wait to see how your office turns out!

Hello Dev and Bianca. I'm super excited about the fish tank but I figured it would have been bigger. Have you thought about putting your sofa/ chaise where the plastic plant is located? As far as plants go, water, feed and sun will definitely take care of your plants Bianca, plus once a week till the dirt without messing with the roots. Also you should get an aloe plant and Dev, if you get Bianca Roses, put like a cap full of Bleach in the water and they'll last longer than usual.. Have you thought about mounting your TV on the wall and with curtains, it will take the glare away. Don't forget your plastic mat for your dining room table and fish tank, just so you don't mess up the carpet. I'm so happy and proud of you both to get where you are today, truly are an Inspiration. If you're willing to have me over, from Jersey City, NJ 😁😁 I'll be more than happy enough to help build 😂 Thank you for showing and sharing your setup on the fish tank. Can you please give a list of what you use and maybe a total price for what it might cost and how you feed.. In regards to plants, you have lots of light, which is nice. You have room for an easy one like an monstera, rubber plant, peace lily or philodendron..those ones are good for beginners! Good luck! That snake plant is super easy too!

Love the new place thanks for showing it you guys! As for plants, I grew up daughter of a landscaper and it’s tough keeping many outdoor plants in FL. They die from the hot sun no matter how much you water. Croton Trees are easy to care for outdoors. Read the care/direction instructions carefully for care indoor or outdoor 👍👍

Hi Dev & Bianca, I really enjoyed the content of this vlog today. Dev please keep us updated on your fish tank my husband and I are considering doing a salt water tank and the more knowledge we can get the better. The only thing is I would have put the stand and fish tank to the side of the tv stand that way when your on your couch you could see and enjoy the fish tank more. Where you have it at now the only time your going to be able to watch your fish is when your sitting at the table. Just a thought. Keep up the great work Dev!

I am not sure how you feel about used furniture, but I have bought a few furniture items off of the FB marketplace. Example...claw foot round table, wooden chairs, hutch. I wouldn't buy a couch, but this may be an option to get real heavy wood.

I used to keep fish tanks, but can't do the maintenance that easily anymore as I'm old and have arthritis now. Those two hoses you were considering are both really good but just really different options. The more expensive and shorter one is very high quality and does not kink like it says, but it takes up about a hula hoop's worth of space when you coil it. It also is very heavy if you have a lot of watering to do and it takes much longer to coil it because it is very stiff. The retractable hose is easy to store and takes up much less space, it's very light, easy to coil, and is much more gentle on surrounding vegetation you don't want ripped up or damaged. They're two very different, but very good products.

I love your everyday life vlogs. I suggest an easy indoor plant to buy is called a snake plant/dragon tounge/mother-in-law tongue, it has a lot of names. Anyway they are very easy to take care of and the more you ignore it the better it does. You could even do hibiscus if you want something that flowers.
