Requiem originally meant a piece of music composed to be played in church during the mass for the deceased (so in wider, more modern terms, funeral). There were many requiems composed by various classical compositors, Mozart's Requiem probably being the most famous one. In modern times the term is sometimes used more loosely, as music that is supposed to be a last farewell to a deceased person, and even metaphorically to a thing that ceases to exist (Mike Oldfield "Requiem for a city" firm "Killing fields" movie). It was used in this sense in "Requiem for a dream" and here by Chinchilla. Look at her outfit, it is clearly stylised after a (Victorian?) grave-digger.
