Possibly the best cover song ever. They took an iconic well known masterpiece from Simon and Garfunkel and made it better. Absolute brilliance and I'm not even a Disturbed fan. Simon and Garfunkel intended this as a warning but their version is very folky. Disturbed redid it from the viewpoint of anger that no one listened to the warning. So much emotion conveyed by Draiman and an absolute master class in voice control. On top of that you have an almost perfect visual from the video. I've watched this over 100 times and it hits me emotionally every single time. Nice reaction. Don't worry about your accent. What's more important is that give your honest opinion and if you need to switch into your natural language, people will figure it out. My favorite band, The Warning, is from Mexico and I watch reaction videos that are completely in Spanish, and I get by with the translator.

The lead singer was trained as a Jewish cantor, so he has an amazing musical foundation. Most of their music is metal or hard rock in nature, but if you liked this, you may like their songs: "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You," "A Reason To Fight," "Hold Onto Memories," and "The Light." Those videos are also beautifully crafted. Their harder music is also fascinating, but if it's not your usual style, ease into it, but it's so worth the exploration. They are a tremendously talented band! (Please don't apologize for your accent, you are perfect the way you are, very easy to understand and I am always impressed with people who can speak multiple languages!)

I first heard this song in July of 2023, so I think it was a wonderful version of the 1964 song. I get goosebumps too when I listen to it over and over. I just can't seem to play it enough. I love these reaction videos and the live concerts. I am a 78 year old female.

Paul Simon wrote this song as a warning 60 years ago and David Draiman and Disturbed are now saying that they are angry that we have not heeded the warning. Paul Simon who wrote the song told Disturbed that this is now their song. Thanks, Diane ❤

I am glad that you know this. 😊👍 Like others (also here) say, this is *the* cover song of a famous original, and - as far as I know - the original composer state, that this version is even better than their original. Personally, I find this cover just *mind-blowing* , and I am not even a fan of this band. I happened to hear this cover at my work place years ago, from a colleague, and I had a loss for words. Your English is just fine, this is David Draiman, lead singer of Disturbed and he did put some of his usual Metal voice into it but I don't think anyone has been more surprised than him as to how popular this song is. You're right, his voice is strong and on point, just an amazingly talented singer, this may be my favorite song of all time...naybe lol, not sure yet! Have a good day

I want to point out a few things I find odd about this reaction. 1) I didn't think that Muslims were allowed to listen to music like this and 2) The lead singer of this group was trained as a Jewish Cantor, I also was led to believe that Muslims hold Jews as mortal enemies. Lol okay first I like how you ended your comment with your KZbin user name 😆 1) Some believe that listening to music is forbidden, although it's not written anywhere in our holy book. And the others (like me), believe that we can listen to music as long as it doesn't hurt anyone (no racist, vulgar, bad or violent music). 2) I don't know who told you that, but that was a loooong time ago, when people were riding horses and fighting with swords. Of course, there's always gonna be some people in both religions to create conflict, like there is always gonna be some humans too create fights in any circumstances, but it's not the majority.
