It's probably pretty annoying for the average New Yorker that their houses get demolished all the time and they have to rebuild the entirety of New York each time one of these movies happen, because when they film these movies they obviously just destroy everything; no special effects.

I remember being a little kid and watching this documentary on the sun. And there was a part talking about how it would grow to a red giant and engulf the earth. I was a pretty stupid kid and missed the part where they said this would not happen for billions of years. This made me pretty scared and I would presume to permanently damage my eyes by looking at the sun to make sure it was normal

Reminds when I was a kid and watched a doc. about how Dinosaurs went extinct (basically meteor) and I was so scared it would happen again one day, that it was one of the only times/nights that I said a dedicated prayer before bed.

@@imdogwater a nebula is a giant cloud that pockets of more dense gas collect together until it makes a star, our sun is a small star that would expand its volume over millions of years, not starting for billions of years from now, when it dies, appearing red due to temperature, as the earth gets hotter and hotter until the whole planet (plus everything up to mars) melts, then vaporizes into gas, to be consumed by the sun that would just leave the dense core behind. there is no nebula or a supernova, and youd have to be lightyears away to properly see what you envision as a nebula
