above all else, always remember to be kind to your body and to yourself! i can’t tell you how many years i spent hating myself or my body, instead of appreciating all that it does for me. these tips are simple things that i hope can help you in some small way, but remember to do whatever is best for YOU. my goals do include weight loss at the moment, and i want to ensure i am transparent about that if that is not your goal. i love you, i appreciate you, you deserve all good things. thank you for being here 💙

Adding more movement is so important. I realized in college I was so skinny even though I was eating terrible dining hall foods because I was walking around campus on an average of 5 miles a day. I always took stairs for all the buildings I went into. I was just constantly moving. Then after graduating, I realized all I do is sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, take the elevator, go home & lay in bed 😂

I am so glad that someone online mentioned tip number two, it is the piece of advice I would give to anyone! I see people who want to change everything about their lifestyle and become this super healthy person all of a sudden, and most often the "change" lasts for a week at most because it is too difficult to maintain everything at once. If you don't work out at all, just start with the goal of moving as often as you can. When that becomes a habit, start adjusting your diet. When that becomes a habit, maybe cut out some of the alcohol or chips or whatever unhealtht thing you use for comfort. Great changes do not come overnight. I have never met a perfectly healthy person anyway - we are human, we all have our guilty pleasures. But the step by step method has really worked for me, and I started by getting tired after 20 to 30 minutes of bodyweight workouts to doing an hour of weighted training consistently. Another piece of advice I would give is to throw away that scale, stop looking in the mirror that often and focus on what your body can do! The rest will absolutely follow, i promise! Ok, rant over. I really like your content and personality, Taylor, thanks for doing this!

Preach girl preach, make a system (a series of little itty bitty goals that form into habits) and you're on your way. I always find that if I set a huge goal or too many and then I don't achieve them then I am waaaaay more likely to feel like a failure than if I simply take baby steps and sim to accomplish something small one day at a time (like drinking an extra glass of water a day). Great video Taylor, love your realness.

Love how real and relatable you are! But it’s going to take me some time to stop wearing my sweats 😂 will do my best 🤞🏽
@TaylorWoods3 жыл бұрын
oh my gosh no don't stop wearing them!! it's only if you're in that mood of "ugh i don't want to workout," changing into workout clothes out of my sweats ALWAYS helps me :)

@@TaylorWoods 1000% ! I do feel like just getting dressed for the day in general (even if it’s just putting on your nicest sweats 😂) has been really helpful for motivation!
