hey dustin, i've been a longtime subscriber but i'll admit that i've fallen behind on your channel. Dont get me wrong i think your a great craftsman and your videos are excellent, just been busy with life and forging my own blades to feed my family. I dont really upload much here on youtube anymore but i'm on tiktok and clapper, (much bigger following on those platforms) But I just wanted to thankyou for going to bladeshow and showing us bladesmiths what to expect. Did you see any "bladesmiths" that truly didnt belong there, like were there knives below "bladeshow" expectations? I worry if I decide to go and show my stuff off that i'll be judged and shunned by the true professionals. Anyways sorry this is so long, just got alot to say..lol. Hit me up sometime and maybe we can colab on something. Thanks again.

In my country, which is Vietnam you will go to jail just for owning a sword or carrying a survival knife. You can only own kitchen knives and those kitchen knives must stay in your home and cannot be taken out. The police will arrest you if they see you holding anything that they believe could kill someone. I saw a guy arrested by 3 police officers just because he was holding a plastic toy baseball bat in the park because the people around there thought he could kill them with the baseball bat. That plastic toy. All my life I've wished that I could take a few beautiful knives out to a coffee shop, sit with a few friends and comment on them. 😢
