Jimi Hendrix changed the guitar world forever, and after more than 50 years he is still considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
This video explores his groundbreaking rhythm and mind-bending lead techniques as well as the most important aspect of Jimi hendrix as a player and musician. applying these techniques to your own guitar playing and your own music will take you light years ahead of your competition and also bring a lot more fun into your playing.
Btw Im Doug, from the UK, Dubai based full-time professional guitarist. My mission here is to help you level up on the guitar!
Comment me with some video suggestions, more are incoming :)

First started listening to Hendrix when Voodoo Child (Child even comes up with predictive text!) and never stopped. Great video, thanks.

Great video and playing man. Hendrix's rhythm style actually borrowed heavily from Curtis Mayfield. Check out People Get Ready if you haven't heard it. The 7#9 chord was borrowed from jazz guitar in the minor ii-V7#9 progression but Jimi used it differently.

Thanks for the kind words! I just listened to the Curtis Mayfield song, and I can definitely hear the influence, There is even a bell percussion on that track that Hendrix (and or his producer) uses on Little Wing. every day is a school day!

@@fulltimeguitar Evidently they influenced each other because I just heard this 1975 track from 10 years later and Curtis Mayfield on on So In Love is using a Uni-Vibe I think. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppammYuvqJx5mbs

My guitar? or the one i show a picture of? My Stratocaster is a Fender American Special. I'm using the middle pickups (single coil) with my AX8 emulating a Fender Twin Clean Amp through a Bogner Shiva 4x12 Cab, Fractal Wha, and T808 overdrive. some reverb and delay and a gental Comp at the start of the chain :D
