AMAZING teacher! I searched for so long to find an answer to WHY/WHEN I would use Sends or Buses. You're the only person I could find with an answer. Thank you so much!

Eight videos on this all touted by viewers to be the easiest to understand, but still I was foggy. Until yours. THANK YOU! A nice clear template set up, doing step by step, easy, clear, and uncomplicated explanation. Great.

Awesome, thank you! This has been so mystifying and I’ve let myself ignore the random-sounding jargon. Your explanations make it make sense! Much appreciated 😀

Great video! Liked and subscribed! I was putting sends on all of my individual tracks being bussed into their respective Aux tracks which was really muddying up my mix! Thank you for breaking it down so well!

Are we supposed to use plugins in stereo insert or mono insert

Cool tips! It is disappointing that GarageBand doesn’t support busses and sends. I guess Apple wants us to spring for Logic.

I would agree with that. I do think Logic is more than worth it. $200 is a great price for everything Logic gives you.

I don't understand why you said that compression would not work on a bus. For exemple bus compression on drums is working very well to glue tracks together.

that’s a really good point! for some reason, even though I use compression on my drum busses, it slipped my mind. good call!

So.. if you group tracks in to a bus, then use the send.. the bus track outputs those groups to master, right.. but the send ALSO goes to a track say for FX.. and THAT track outputs to master as well? OR.. does the DAW mix the bus output + the SEND track FX in to a single audio signal before going to master? Not sure if the end result of bus + send track is two signals.. mixed.. or the single mixed before going to master. If I were to set up multiple sends on the bus.. to different FX.. each of those FX tracks are "additive" if they are all mixed on master.. so I am asking to understand if bus with 6 sends gets "louder" (e.g. drums on bus, sent to different FX.. results in same drum sounds multiple signals (1 for each send track) resulting in louder drums? I know you can adjust the overall output of each send track.. just curious how the whole thing is mixed internally.

I'm trying to do use busses to double track guitars for a rock song but as soon as I put my amp sim or any other effects into the bus all the tracks are panned to the center. If I don't put any effects the panning works just fine. Any tipps? Edit: I'm using cakewalk
