I am grateful for my ISTJ father. As an INTJ, I hate my past but he always reminds me to not forget the path we have come through. I am starting to realise that my past is not my enemy but rather it is what has made me the person I am today. I was such a coward a few years ago but that is what made me to be brave. Thankyou ISTJs for your contribution to this world.

Keywords: lazy, irresponsible, ignorant, authoritarian, wanted/unwanted, most biased, very VERY sensitive, complains a lot, off work more often, fake, burden, conflicted loyalty, accountanble/responsible (quite confused by this one, contradicting to the second word mentioned) As an ISTJ, been picking up a lot of negative tendencies from this video. It somehow bothers me to be one, but i kind of acknowledge those traits at the same time (no hard feelings :D). It's actually a good learning opportunity to be told what you are and what you could be and what you can focus on moving forward. I am in fact working as an accountant/auditor for almost 6 yrs now and working for the same company ever since.

This made me wonder if I'm really an ISTJ with high ESTP focus. What you described about life achievements and experiencing being burned, ripped off and betrayed many times by people to the point of having conflicting loyalties really hit close to home. I thought hard about my past and my tendencies growing up based on descriptions from family, friends and my former church leader and I think that being an ISTJ with strong ESTP focus might be what I am or an ISTP. I'm often told that I have a "good memory" but I often have doubts about it as well as my intelligence. I often get conflicted between being affiliative and pragmatic which makes sense. I was also raised by STP and SFJ types too. This video was amazing work Chase. God Bless you Sir 👍

Told me Im a terrible person since my ex "did nothing wrong" but didn't even get my side of the story before deciding I'm a terrible person and cutting ties. Definitely due to not feeling wanted as I recently broke off a FWB relationship with her because she was getting feelings that I did non reciprocate and my ex (as you'd expect from ENFJ) has an amazing ability to make you feel wanted.

I’m coming to terms with being an ISTJ and I’m also a Baha’i. You don’t even have to choose between creationism and evolution if you understand the harmony that exists between science and religion. Also one of the basic principles of the Bahai Faith is independent investigation of the truth. Not blindly following what you’ve been told, which led me to this faith but also to your channel. Oh, people think I’m xyz type? Fkn prove it. Verify. Your system is the only thing I’ve been able to use to actually understand how I think and why I’m so fkd up. Te dom, Ti or Fi dom, Se dom in the house - had no choice but to become Subconscious focused which made me a shit show. Finally in my 40s I can look back and piece each part of my psyche together to understand when I’m dipping into each side of the mind all because I never felt I could just be who I was.

11:40 "there's no reason to use lettering system" I think the letters are still useful for simplifying descriptions of complex patterns within and between the types. For example instead of saying "people with Se in parent or hero", you can just say "SP"

14:05 "not all ISTJ:s are lazy, some are very diligent" doesn't this apply to all types? All Si users can be lazy because comfort, or diligent because duty. And Ni users can be lazy because they don't want to work, or diligent because they employ willpower to create a better future for themselves.

I watch these vids to see if they can help me find myself. Not really, I accepted it by faith at some point but found myself falling for the Barnum effect. ISTJ’s are really put in a box when it comes to the MBTI community (Or Jung Psych community if you really want to get picky abt it). They make us seem like NPC robots that only think with their memory and have little to not access to the minds eye. I get we’re not the coolest/most rare of types and that’s ok, I don’t care, I just thought there’d be more spice to this. These lectures are cool but often times people rely on this too much to the point of making it their religion. If someone wants to make this their religion/philosophy of life that’s their thing, idc, it’s not very healthy for me but for someone of another type/perspective it could help. All i can say for sure is, I’m done boxing myself in. Like I said, ISTJ’s don’t have much content out there, and what we do have is the same “dutiful, robot, serious... etc”. We have more qualities than just that, we’re funny, cool, emotionally supportive, etc. I just don’t find these things expressed in the psychology, whereas for other types it can be. It can feel more complex for other types, and that’s a bad thing since all human beings are deeply complex with different strengths and motivations that one can’t possibly pin down with the intellect of man. At the end of the day, our true label is ourself, who we are, Emmanuel Beltran, that’s me, not ISTJ #17927.

I totally get the thing where we spread rumors, with our ENFP sub-conscious, to me this is us trying to be a be a STARTER when in reality we should just be concentrating on being a FINISHER, the switch to starter mode, is good if we need to push ourselves against a STARTER/FINISHER like an ENFP or ESFP, but when we try that same strategy against the other starters (ENTP and ESFJ) they just go into background mode and expose us for being preposterous.
@rjh7700 Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I wanted to see what an istj is all about, because that's my super ego, and I guess that's vice versa in their case, so I guess they're not quite opposite but it usually equates to the vice of the type if it's demonic, and the virtue of you can integrate it, so I suppose I have a fact gathering/valuing side of me that I shut down or ignore a lot, but it sounds like it is the other side/backup to my intuition and introverted thinking 🤔

The demon function seems to be getting two definitions, is it the type of thing that comes out in life or death situations, like in the two part angel and demon lecture, where satan was created after feeling like he had had his cause torn away from him, because if that is the case i have been having demon outbursts since i was about 23 and a half, and they have all been triggered by estjs mocking me, so I went all Ni on them to show they arent so tough after all, or is Ni demon the act of not having Ni which leads to behaviours such as laziness, in ability to form specific goals without help from others and other things like that? or does it just mean both? So is Ni demon the teacher becoming extremely resentful realising Common CORE can't get solve all of their problems or is Ni demon the teacher's inabiltiy to motivate themself to make her own decisions based on her own verification?

I’m an ISTJ, and I love most of your content. However, I think you that you labeling us as lazy couldn’t be further from the truth. ISTJs are the most responsible, reliable, and dutiful people in the world. Nothing is more important to us than to have all of our responsibilities handled Well. You have to know this, right? I don’t understand how we’re considered lazy, while you label the irresponsible, unreliable types like ISTPs and ISFPs as the most hard working?? Also, the taking time off of work comment isn’t truthful. This would be in direct opposition of what we care about most, which is being responsible and providing well for our loved ones. I’m a big fan of your content, CS, but the labeling of ISTJs as lazy couldn’t be further from the truth in my opinion. I’m not sure how many of us you have impacting your life. I can see both sides of this. My ISTJ mother, and friend well they are both extremely dutiful and probably less likely to slack off when duty is called for. Whereas yes ISXP types (like me) can be complete and utter slackers and rule breakers when it suits them and it's kinda unpredictable. But at the same time it's like..an energy thing and hard to explain. ISXPs will sometimes get a huge wave of energy when it's something they care about or want to do for whatever reason and they will then put so much heart/soul/physical energy (se) into this project like you wouldnt believe. Whereas I don't see this much with the istj - they are more like sitting diigently working though tasks slow and steady. But maybe less energy to REALLY make something happen. But much more consistent and reliable. You know where you are with them and i like that. That's how i see it anyway. ISTJs are much more reliable and diligent, ISXPs more unpredictable but can get huge surges of energy for the right project (they actually go out of their way to conserve energy at other times as that's what Ji does)

@@justice_2257 si users are more habitual than se users so it would be much harder to break out of a si-fi loop for stj's that is where the potential laziness comes from but if you are not part of the crowd that is lazy then you should not worry about it

Wow you also associate the Demon function gateway with Charity/Love as I did based on your lectures. So the inferior is FAITH, the nemesis is HOPE (against worry and through trials) and the "Demon" is Charity/Love ... and the greatest of these is LOVE! ... So is Christianity the heavenly answer perfectly tailored for human nature? Since by it we receive the 3 Theological Virtues?
