For a while, I wrote MBTI off as just plain wrong because supposably types don't change. I really appreciate you throwing in the video explaining how you see yourself switching from type to type andor experiencing multiple types at the same time. You're the first person I've found to mention this experience. Thank you.

That whole ENFJ rant was so on point lmao. It's so funny how knowing this science allows you to immediately understand the reason behind all the nuances surrounding peoples' thoughts and behaviours, like the ENFJ in the store saying you're not doing anything. Btw I actually do the whole head planning thing too, like I'll just stand motionless and think in my head, and once I've made my decisions I fully execute the plan. Also so true when you mentioned templars believe people don't change, reminds me of one particular ISTP friend of mine, who literally said that in a convo. Probably rooted in the expectation that everyone else should be behaving like an STJ/NFP, who are in theory relatively consistent throughout life due to Si. But damn it's seriously sad when you understand this science, cause you're always one step ahead of others. You know exactly what they're thinking, why they're thinking it, and what they're going to think. And on top of that you notice all the flaws in their thought patterns.

It's not that I don't believe people can change, it's that your words and actions have destroyed me so much that I don't care anymore and you're no longer my problem. Watching you move on with your life also hurts like hell. I mean, you changed (which you needed to do anyway), which is good for you. What did the Templar get out of that exactly? I'm not saying this in a resentful manner, but really think about that. What did the templar get out of that experience? When you don't apologize and try to make things right, we're just left with the pain. So on top of the pain we already received from you before the door slam, we're stuck with the pain of you not giving enough of a shit to try and make things right. Over time the templar just realizes that they can't do everything. They can't exist in a one sided relationship where only one person (templar) gives a shit and the other becomes a lazy blob who takes from the other. Also, sometimes there's just nothing left anymore and the relationship is destroyed. Si users just move on, makes new friends and does new things, whereas Se users are stuck in their own pain. I'd rather live with guilt than with pain personally. Some types are more willing to accept the bad qualities of a person simply because they are bigger "takers." They see the benefits of being friends with you and "putting up" with your bad qualities. Seems really disingenuous to me, do you really want friends like that?

One of the things that INTJs like about ENTPs, is that they verify our beliefs and help us to grow. Fe-Fi might be childish, but Ti-Te is definitely constructive and powerful, especially if both read. Two epic lectures in two days about INTJ/ENTP. Thank you so much, Chase!

The advice you share like hyper focusing on things you want to finish and also consistently reading to develop your own systems to build confidence for the future..I find myself doing this every day at work...I’m an INTJ so I’m assuming these items just come natural to me and the reason you are stating it here is so ENTPs can gain maturity, bringing visibility to the fact this is what needs to happen for the unconscious. It’s really fascinating the synergy you get from these two types together as they can learn a LOT from each other. I’m lucky My boss is an ENTP and I find it fascinating how he comes up with concepts and new ideas for what we should be doing for business and I’m just like ok got it now let me just make sure your thinking about this thing the right way so I can bring this concept to conception. It’s a beautiful harmonious relationship even though I want to smack him with all the behavioral flaws you pointed out here. He’s super susceptible because he’s spending time with people where he’s getting the short hand of the stick rather than spending time with me where we can actually just grows forrest together. I’m going to go plant some seeds now.

ENTP is happiest when they are in the good version of their ESFP superego. In that state, they effortlessly slip in and out to their INTJ unconscious and the NiTe comes out of the ENTP gracefully and people often wondered, how do we have strong forecasting ability? It's like having the best of both world, an Extrovert INTJ, awesome all around. However, all this must go through and conquer their ISFJ responsibilities (waking the subconscious into conscious effort) of conquering the S chaos through Si, the key is to create a pleasurable routine so the Ti won't be angry lol, once your Si has Ti approval, then Fi happy too. That's my experience for the last decade of being one.

I find it so interesting how I relate to some of the things from both ENTP and ESFP cognitive transition lectures, in terms of some of the types' behaviours, fears and so on. I'm thinking maybe because I'm part of that "4 sides of the mind" (INTJ/ESFP/ENTP/ISFJ), I share certain things with each of those 4 types. I originally thought that the types other than your ego had more shallow influences, but it's as if each of them plays a "mini-ego" in your being. For example a "mini ENTP ego" who fears new experiences or becomes loyal to the wrong thing. Or a "mini ESFP ego" who fears his future and lives too much in the moment. For some reason I see these traits in myself. Maybe the other 3 sides of your mind are the yang to your ego's yin, in that primary vs secondary sort of way. So while your ego is at the forefront, the other 3 sides of your mind constitute 3 "mini egos" in the background.

I noticed you're hoping to come out with an app. I think it would be great if you could incorporate an interactive diagram of the #4SidesOfTheMind model; where a user could set up the image to illustrate different concepts of the model (like what all happens during a cognitive transition: possible changes in fps, how fuctions develop over time, the irrigation metaphor you used in this lecture, the flow of introverted/extraverted energy, etc.) There could also be one setting that highlights the gateways, another that highlights the various relationships between functions (maybe even a planetary model that visualizes cognitive orbits and axes), another setting that visualizes the synchronicity concept, etc. You could set up events that a hypothetical personality type is experiencing, and show how they are influencing his or her functional stacks in realtime. You could also do something similar with the Typegrid.

I need to point something out: A win win situation is where both parties win, which is why it's called a win win in the first place. A win lose, on the other hand, is where one party wins and the other loses. Pretty straightforward, quite frankly.

Oh my god maybe this is me. I had some people i cared about and usually those people fucked me up the most so i always had them on a list in my head: people i want to destroy but not kill because i want them to live through their life with the pain they made me go through. And only a week ago i realized that one of these cases wasn't completely their fault. Well yes they started it, they hurt me, but I could've talked that out with them and then part our ways but i cared so much and they just threw me away so i perceived injustice so i had this hate for them for nine whole years and only a few days ago I've realized how hurt i was at the time that i gave up on their perspective never even thinking how it may look from their eyes. I was 12 at the time but the fact that I've realized i have also made some mistakes and that maybe it wasn't the way i thought it was made me lose that hatred. Everytime i thought of that person i would feel such a strong resentment and use them as a reason why i shouldn't trust people and give my loyalty to them because I'm loyal as fuck and how dare they, they're never going to find a friend like me and i want them to suffer. Now that I've looked at the situation from afar and objectively I've realized it wasn't as disasterous as i thought it was and that I've also made mistakes and how that person may have felt and i forgave them and i felt such a big baggage fall off of my chest. But I can only hate people that I love and I have worked hard for a few years to learn not to switch from love to hatred but try to forgive instead. But is this si demon or se demon?

As an INTP Jung had strong access to the collective unconscious through his En parent. Freud, on the other hand, (universally regarded as an ISTJ) had inferior intuition. Hence Freud emphasized personal experiences (Si) as making up his ID as opposed to universal archetypes (En). Jung's theory complemented Freud's. In Socionics Jung (INTP) benefitted Freud (ISTJ) in a Socionics beneficiary relationship. Jung's En parented Freud's En inferior.

Great post. A lot of relatable content, from fashion sense to farming to Naruto. The only thing that I'm really afraid of about my future is the uncertainty of death. I somehow want to be in control when it happens somehow. How can I overcome this?

I'm not really understanding your point about age difference in relationships. Obviously, adults shouldn't get involved with children. But otherwise, it doesn't seem like much of a problem. The most reliable research I could find, based on decades of census data, showed no correlation between divorce and age difference in marriage.

@Tommy Hass Are you referring to Doug Hutchinson, the actor who got involved with a 16-year-old acting student in his class? Relationships between adults and children are a bad idea.

Isn’t dark clothing more typical of NTJ types? The few INTJs I’ve met have all leaned towards dressing a bit “emo”-clean but dark.
@CSJoseph

Nope. Higher the Ne, the more dark clothing.

C.S. Joseph Why so? Wouldn’t Ne-Si make the person inclined to wear that which depicts or portrays a “creative” element (Ne) in their clothing, which they personally like (Si). The Ni-Se would embody the inverse: Ni (being more organized and only innovative inside a set structure resulting in a “clean outfit”) combined with inferior or child Se (awareness of how other people experience their fashion sense and making them hesitant to give off too much of an “out there” vibe)?

Ne doesn't necessarily lead to the flashy stereotype of "creatives". It does pair with the Si function which remembers "that worked" or "this made me uncomfortable". White, black, charcoal, navy blue, khaki, sky blue, etc. "go with" each other well enough to avoid most fashion disasters (which our Si will remember). Se-focused people tend to be more interested in engaging the exterior visual environment, including using clothing colors to signal how they intend (Ni) to be seen. Of course, NTPs might just wear something more flashy to see what social reactions we get (Ne testing Fe) from people who don't know us well. Or, fair warning, we could be letting our NTJ Shadow out.

@@antonforsell1454 ENTP here. Mine manifests in darker shades of what fits my skin tone. Because I have fair, neutral-on-the-cool side tone, My wardrobe consist of shirts that are cool-toned red, dark teal, eggplant, navy blue, black, cool-toned greens, cool-toned greys, and grey-toned whites. My shoes are generally, black, white, brown as they are the most versatile. I prefer solid-colored shirts, but I do have an occasional witty or fandom shirt.

@@HobDobson as an ENTP i definitely like the flashy colorful stuff more but im not the type to just put a bunch of colors together than don’t work and look like a clown. I know how to make colorful look good and not too much . Im mostly inclined to keep things simple like not too many colors or Patterns mixed together

Imagine being in the car with chase while hes giving a lecture 😅 i do have a legitimate question, does child Ti from the subconscious side have a tendency to reality check people? Does it team up with the egos parent ti ? There are moments where i act alot like an estp minus the hypocrisy. My understanding is that a subconscious isfj isnt going to appear as ego isfjs

My entp step sister has most of these issues. When I got her a paid internship and she came to live with me(an intj) for free. I loved it. But she eventually tore my family apart to the point I had to cut all ties. I am still sad she caused me to do this, but she cant treat people the way she did and get away with it. She was not even able to say sorry for it either. Even after she admitted her hurt was a lie(she instead said that there probably was a slight in the past she forgot that made her backstab ok). As an intj, I do like entps in general but I feel that they are generally risky to make friends with.

Do ENTPs typically enjoy fixing cars, racing cars, extreme sports etc? I know it sounds like more of an XSTP thing but someone I know seems very ENTP but has all these Se-Ti type interests. Wondering if Ti parent plus Se demon could create similar interests in ENTPs

Is it common for people to change types as they age? Because I feel like is a child and teen I was definitely an ENTP but as I’ve gotten older I feel like I’m definitely more of an ENFP which are clearly very different especially in the way they communicate with other people.

How do entps date? Are there some patterns? Would they talk to you even if not interested? Would they just straight up refuse to go out with me or would they be more subtle about it?

That's as much a nurture question as it is a type question so the answer is really dependant on other factors, but ENTPs are informative Fe users so there's a higher likelihood of them being informative about it and not wanting to hurt feelings when it can be avoided.

Hi Chase, Nice shirt. My style, a simplistic print, but I guess depends on occasion or moods, etc. By the way, will u at some point pick out or discuss top cities or countries u think culturally gravitates more to certain “personality types (cognitive + temperaments)”. I’d love to know hear suggestions of where so & so would travel bcoz of natural atmosphere in so and so places. Thanks in advance. For example, USA tends to be more/majority “SJ”. I’ve seen it discussed elsewhere, and u have mentioned it also in some of ur video. Like how would u describe Japan, India, Switzerland, etc...? (Maybe some u may have an opinion that might differ from personal experience when it comes to more time exposure being in certain places, people, & xyz cultures. Not just what’s seen or discussed on tv & prints).

So Se-users like INTJs dress for looks (how they want to be perceived), even if it’s uncomfortable, whereas ENTPs dress for comfort even if it doesn’t look nice in the eyes of other people (Se-demon doesn’t care about how they appear)
