In high school I was mistyped as an ISTP and didn't understand why as I got older I tested INTJ over and over and over again. Had to laugh at the autism thing. I was falsely diagnosed with autism as a child due to my mediocre school performance mixed with my personality type (intj). I remember having to do special classes where they tried to teach me how to be in touch with my emotions since I was just so autistic (in reality I was perfectly in touch with my emotions internally, my emotions are just nobody's damn business was the problem) And I didn't participate properly in school because I had already decided on a career before getting out of elementary school and that career did not benefit from any degrees, not because of autism. Why would I waste time on school of I knew it was a waste for me? Just because I'm told to? Nah. Jokes on them because I did make that plan a reality and now I'm enjoying being in one of the most sought after careers there are despite literally everyone telling me I couldn't do it every step of the way including my own family (which everyone silently agreed never happened rather than actually apologize for being completely wrong and trying to sabotage my success for literally years). And yeah when I hit teenage years it was clear I was never autistic. Sorry about the fi god complex coming out a bit. True story though.

I'm autistic and most likely an INTJ. I grew up and live in an SP environment. Nobody gets me, and I don't get them. I have to become this weak feminine woman that my society so desires in order to survive. I cannot be myself. Whenever I voiced out my thoughts I'm accused of blunt and rude and disrespectful. Why, a woman should be cute and fuzzy and stupid to be attractive. But I'm sensitive and fuzzy and feel deeply. I just don't agree with 99% of what my extraverted feeling society does because it's simply inefficient. I don't get why they can't see longterm implications of their decisions. I've been gaslit through my life because I was right and they refused to see it, my self-esteem almost non-existent. I question a lot about my type but your videos help me tremendously in understanding myself. Very grateful.

I was told I didn't have empathy once. I just didn't see how paying lip service to people I would never meet was worth my time. I care about the people in my life that I can help. Faceless names and nameless faces are beyond me, pretending to care about them is dishonest and slimy. I'm not autistic, let's just say I come close to it. As an ESTP I would argue we could come up with new things by combining two or more already known things, connectiong dots and transferring into new fields. I thought I was intuitive before because it can feel like intuition but in reality it's just 1+1=2. I also want to know how others feel about this, hence the posting, and if an intellectual was to point out something "new" in this reality, I would take note and utilize it.

Intuition doesn't have to be something completely new, but it does tend to be less concerned with what has been or what is happening. So instead of 1+1=2, an NP will be more like (1+1+1+1)/2=2. There's more that they pull from because they are interested in possibilities (whereas SP are typically more focused on results), and they may have more dynamic operations. And an NJ may not even be conscious of the 1+1, they just already are at 2 because a lot of their more innovative thinking is unconscious (the whole a-ha moment thing). NJs are perhaps the most original (so SPs typically are more innovative than SJs).

As an SJ, I often wise I was more like an NT. They seem to be the revolutionist, whereas my type is common and honestly sounds quite submissive in nature when I study sources about it. If anything I'd think NT's are bullied because they are so smart and outside the box thinkers.

As much as i like ego stroking and thinking i'm superior (i'm not), i'd say it makes perfect sense that you'd want to be an nt, especially if you're an SFJ, because in the four sides of the mind the subconscious, what you would like to be or become, or at least have some positive traits from, is the exact opposite of your type so in your case xnxp, and if you're an esfj or isfj, the most common types, you specifically want to be an intp and entp respectively. This also applies to xsfps who want to be xntjs subconsciously. Don't worry though, the feeling is mutual for us. I'm an intp specifically, and i made all of my classmates take the test. One of them was an esfj, my polar opposite and therefore we're eachother's subconscious and we want to be one another. I informed her of this, she didn't believe either side of the equation and she answered :"you're smart, your type is the same as einstein, you'll change the world, why the fuck would you want to be me?" Then she thought about it and said :" ok this cleared up a few things, i think you're right and i want to be like you" and i answered :"told you, i'm smarter than you." And said goodbye. Nah i'm kidding, i told her :"see? This test works, and it's also true that i want to be like you, since you can actually talk to people without being awkward and know what to do to help them and are a nice person."

As an INTP, I often feel misunderstood, and frustrated when I see things that others can't. Especially in arguments, I'm easily energized by a kindred spirit (not necessarily agreement) but even more easily exhausted by the majority of people who don't rationalize in an "acceptable" manner. I often "stupid zone" people, even when I feel I have something to offer, and give up. How can I as an NT be useful to others without burning out and giving up, as I often do? This usually leads to resentment, hopelessness, and a total lack of motivation or ambition, which I'm trying to overcome. This form of depression has been very challenging for me. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Be supportive of others. Never fear rejection, accept that rejection is the norm. The real people to support will welcome you and never reject you. Separate people into two categories. Those that reject and those that do not. Support those that do not. Make sure to better yourself to less people reject you.

After watching the four '4 temperaments' videos, I can aspects where I'm like each and also those where I'm unlike each. E.g. SP I love creating art as in photography or writing poetry or music production but I also really love theory and just being in my head trying to find theoretical systems that make sense and can applied. with SJ I like the idea of loyalty and don't like massive sudden change, but I highly dislike when tradition trumps objective reasoning and dislike when people pine for the old days because then they're missing out the present and future. with NT I'm always keen to stay on top of the latest tech and science innovations in a way where most other people i know don't really care when I'm trying to inform them of those things, but I don't like actually innovate my own pioneering type things, except when it comes to using new innovations in tech to create art or sometimes I'll take a known theoretical system and try to think of new ways to look at it or improve it. with NF, I do believe in like one 'cause' which is freedom of information and expression, or against censorship, but I don't feel people oriented ever except when it comes to like a romantic interest, but I highly recognize the power of things like rhetoric and how that can impact the masses and wish they collectively understood more about how easily they're manipulated. Idk wth I am :/

The real question is, how do I seduce an ENTP. I'm an INTJ female with hyper developed introverted feeling and decent social skills due to disabilities. I have ADD so I really enjoy the energy ENTPs bring to the table. Despite having a decent access to my unconscious in a healthy way, I don't want to come off like I'm "playing" the ENTP. My normal means of seduction work for when the person can provide a service for me I need to help my goals. Obviously, I don't walk around treating people like means to ends, but my seduction style comes off that way. I guess the question is what's the ideal way to seduce an ENTP as an INTJ female in the way they want to be seduced. I'm not insanely paranoid like most INTJs I've met. I've worked really hard to be super mindful of how my actions impact my partner, but I love being around ENTPs and would like to consider dating one in the future.

As an ENFP who likes INTJs I can offer some advice. As an INTJ, you need to get the ENTP to notice you. ENTPs are sapiosexual and so you you have to attract them with your Ni-Te. Give them interesting new insights to chew on. Debate them. Question them. Beat them in a debate. That is so hot to them. Ask them for their number. And text them with random insightful Ni thoughts to feed their Ne-Ti. Let them ramble to you. But once in awhile, use your Ni to pull out insights and organize their thoughts. They like that. Also, feed their Fe child. If they tease you, react "playfully annoyed". That is also hot them. Also tell them you appreciate how they make you feel. That they make you feel happy. Even be a little Fi "selfish" about these statements. And use a little bit of your "Te" bossiness to tell them what to do. That's also hot to them. But be careful of being oversensitive to them or accusing them of backtracking. ENTPs backtrack, it's what they do, they can't help it. They'll make a statement, noticed it hurt you, and then backtrack and play off as a joke. In their head, they're trying to protect you from being hurt. If you call them out on this consistently, they will get annoyed. Instead, try to set up a clear, direct boundary, and if they don't change then leave. ENTPs only change if they actually believe your boundaries. Otherwise, they'll just think you're annoying. That being said, ENTPs are good people who do genuinely want others to feel good due to Fe. If you want to manipulate them, use guilt. But try not to overplay this. But it will work. - ENFP female

XD The ENTJ in my life gets irritated whenever I mention Trump though, I think that also just goes to show that even if you're the same type as another person, if your values don't align, it can still cause conflict. Though, I think people in the same temperament are probably biased towards having specific _kinds_ of values, but I don't think it's a guaranteed thing. Trump grew up in a very privileged and unchallenged life, and so he never really had to mature as an individual. Hardships in life can often be an essential part of personal growth, so sometimes by depriving your children of those, you weaken them as individuals, as tough as it may be to watch them experience it.

(Opinion) The use of tools in tandem with artisans I think is more abstract Being an istp I did tinker (sometimes) but when my ti and se converged using the arguments of intellectuals ,my observations and analytical thinking to come to conclusions,not only that but my creative works were indeed inspired by that of intellectuals but i moved them to new dimensions such that not only did they differ from the source but I could not even recognize their original form compared to the outcome. To put it simply artisans do innovate.(just creatively not intuitively) (An analogy) An intellectual would discover the value of a certain species of grass(the grains specifically) They would then breed it to be more disease resistant and bear larger grains Then a method of irritating the effectively The result a useful crop An artisan then came along noticed how volatile it was Toy with the proportions of fats,oils,leavening agents and one could make a wide variety of baked goods In a predominately sensing society the farmer is seen a a distant figure The tangible reality before them is an assortment of tasty foods So the innovation is attributed and credited to the artisan Who took the existing reality to new horizons that became unrecognizable compared to its original form Now As an artisan my favorite temperament of the mbti community Is the intellectuals(really I looove them) Though I disagree with half of what they say I've learned a lot from them and I think you should reevaluate your stance on artisans There is much more to us than this mechanical steam punks (Just my opinion)

Hey, are you sure the 70/30% split is accurate? How are the data collected? Because I would think that intuitives would be much more likely to be interested in Jungian analytical psychology compared to sensors (because these just feel normal and therefore why bother with personality types? Why intuitives are more curious and willing to understand their self perceived difference compared to others and to reach and make tests). Is it possible therefore that the imbalance between sensors vs intuitives is much more skewed towards sensory dominance in the end? It all depends on how the statistics are made

A lot of my friends are INTPs and ENTPs, they’ve watched your videos and have concluded such. Out of eight of us, 6/8 are autistic/Aspergers and three are ENTPs and two are INTPs. As the sixth person, many of the people in my life have concluded that I’m an ENTJ. Because of having low Fi rather than Fe. Among other factors, I’ve kept track of it. We also have a friend who I suspect is an INFP, but he’s never tested, has an autistic brother. The other friend is an ESFP and is a heavy drinker and pot smoker. Good guy though. My ISTJ step-uncle, ISTP father, ISTP grandmother, and my ESTJ mom keep saying I need to become street smart and less book smart. Yeah.... sensors telling me to get educated? How about dropping your idea of standardizing education and also the workplace? Hopefully, it will slap them hard in the face. I have to laugh at the fact that the United States, in higher education, measures the success of a graduate school appilant based on a standard test? I will say this, if you believe that is a good outcome, you're likely screening out incredibly intelligent people. That's the fault of the system and that is where the SJ's and some NTJ's are WRONG. This is not an objective measurement of a well-educated, well-rounded, person of moral integriy, and of good character. Elon Musk took his kid's to an experimental school and it seems to be working fine for them. SJ's what you're doing is wrong, is not working, is not efficient, and is not producing good long term results. Your own ignorance is hindering the future success of Americans and do you remember what Plato said about an uneducated society? Perhaps not, because being book smart is a bad thing? Give me a break. You definitely got that right, -that Donald J Trump is NOT an ESTP, but an intellectual like us. The only thing was that I incipiently thought he was an ENTP, in lieu of an ENTJ but your hypothesis seems quite correct. I think many individuals think he is an ESTP, because they don’t like him and thus prefer to see him as not smart and not an intellectual. Question- you stated in the video that NTJs have a focus on statistics, money, and organization (among other things). I missed the comparative comment for the NTPs. I got that NTJs have more of an external focus and fixing/recreating existing systems where as NTPs have more of an internal focus and look for needed systems as opposed to what others are doing, but what else to NTPs seem to have a focus on?

This is interesting. I am very curious to see what your approach says about me. I have taken a few different tests (I know your opinion on tests) and always come out either as INTP or ISTP. To be honest, I not sure which I am. When I look at their descriptions (including your descriptions), I see myself in both of them. For example, I am very mechanical and a trouble shooter, but I also have a tendency to look at the whole system and think about how I could engineer it better. I have noticed I have a tendency to swing back and forth between the 2 types. As I said, I'm curious to see what your method says.

Well I’m a strong INTP abs my oldest daughter is an ISTP. I can clearly see that she inherited my Ti Dom, but not my Ne and I do notice several big difference in our personalities. For starters she is much more socially aware than I am and has had a lot less difficulties making friends, whilst I was always the more intellectual and abstract thinker

What are some in real life differences between an INTJ and an INTP that are visually notable? I understand that their cognitive functions are clearly distinct, but both of the types may come off as intellectually arrogant and aloof/detached. The same between an INTJ/ENTJ, or INTP/ENTP. I understand that there could be a possibility for extroversion to be more apparent in EN types, but since we are talking about the Intellectuals temperament (which can often inhibit social behavior), I'd like to find some clearly distinctions.

Ceazeus Hepta Ceazeus Hepta I don't know if you consider this *visually* noticeable, but as an INTP with INTJ friends, we often clash on the conclusions we draw based on the same evidence. In my perception, INTJs seem to rush to judgement with insufficient evidence, while to an INTJ I probably seem like I take too long to make decisions or avoid comittments. If you want a purely visual example, I think INTJs sometimes value status a bit more and may appear to make slightly more effort towards grooming, while INTPs tend to reject society's standards. I would be careful with that generalization though, as the way a person is raised and how they mature can have a big impact on how they present or express themselves.

Interesting perspective. Now that I think about it, I just find it hard to conceptualize an INTP who actually puts any sorts of aesthetic effort when presenting themselves, since they lack Se. I can also see how INTJs may form opinions prematurely as opposed to the INTPs who actually take the time to digest the information thoroughly in order to form a conclusion. I wouldn’t necessarily say grooming is a good way to differentiate them cause I’m INTP and I’m like really perfectionistic with my appearance, probably attributed to my Si which is pretty well developed. What I’d say is the difference is that INTPs are more likely to listen to any piece of info you tell them and kinda “go with the flow of it”. I think an INTJ would be more likely to judge the info immediately in a way that’s externally observable (Te). INTPs are probably more “chill”, while INTJs can come off as more harsh. Also INTP is more likely to dissect a problem in a way that is detached from the “particularities” of the situation. Ti likes to form universal conclusions about phenomena. INTJ likes to solve a problem by looking at its context, which is the essence of Te. In an argument, the types will take different approaches. In INTP will try to achieve logical consistency and point out anything you say that doesn’t make sense. The INTP will remain calm and despite the focus on logical consistency, there will this element of compromise fuelled by the INTPs inability to ignore Fe. The INTJ will also use logic, but much less detached from the situation. The INTJ will point out X, Y, and Z factors that prove that his argument leads to the best outcome. Notice that the INTJ knows what is correct/right, which is heavily fuelled by the subjective Fi. The INTJ will not focus on compromise, but rather on pushing his point to the other person. Last thing i wanna say is Ne in INTP, which as you can see has made me jump through thoughts in a “one thing makes me think of something else” kinda way. It’s a function really heavy on improvisation haha.

Yea, I'm definately of the mind now that it's not unfair to not call FJs "thinkers". I had accepted the premise of Ti making IxFJs (in particular) thinkers, however the reason they're better described as feelers rather than thinkers is they lack the supporting function in their shadow. Thinkers require Tx in top two slots, so that it's Tx counterpart is in a worthwhile, respected slot below. I often like having such low Fi, it makes it highly amusing when the uninitiated try to insult me and it passes me by easier than water off a duck's back (it's why I'm back here hence the reference, as digging up link for someone that's trying to belittle me in the funniest ways).

I'm bothered by how Kiersey classify the types into SP, SJ, NT, and NF. SP and SJ are fine, because they're based on certain functions (Se and Si respectively). Meanwhile NT and NF, their types have no shared functions (e.g. ENFJ and ENFP has completely different functions, and there's no midway between FeNi/NiFe and NeFi/FiNe). These different standards just don't compute. Why doesn't it be SP SJ NP NJ or SF ST NF NT? I've heard that it's because Sensors are about the environment, thus have more things to do with J and P, while iNtuitors are about thoughts, thus more with T and F. But *it only makes sense in dichotomy-based MBTI,* which is an *incomplete, very flawed form (or aggressively said, mockery) of OCEAN.* Meanwhile, Keirsey's favoritism towards NFs and NTs doesn't help.

I prefer to group each type based upon their dominate functions i.e. the Intuitive's (INFJ, INTJ, ENFP, ENTP), the Thinkers (ISTP, INTP, ENTJ, ESTJ), the Feelers (ISFP, INFP, ESFJ, ENFJ) and the Sensors (ISFJ, ISTJ, ESTP, ESFP). Seems to make more sense this way. #INTJ

I have come to a similar conclusion but I would say listing the thinkers as INTP, ENTP, ISTP, ESTP would fit better with Plato's description. Ti is obsessed with deciding what is true or false, this is the essence of thinking. Te is more focused on harvesting and organizing logic rather than creating it. In many ways people with Te hero are the most intellectual and have the most accurate information but they rely on original Ti thinkers for their data. #intp
